That's pretty much a given.

Hal is cheap. They're already trying to gas light the fans with their bs "pitching isn't the reason we lost" excuse.

We pretty much lost because our bats all went cold.

Our pitching, like it or not, kept us in each and every game.

Do we need to add obvious free agents to it? Absolutely.

And why did we lose?

First, we didn’t get timely hits and the Astros did. Also, their starters gave their bullpen more rest than ours did. Saying we don’t need another starter is a load of crap. We would have won this series if we had a Cole/Stras like pitcher.

I'd almost be fine with Gardner back as a 5th outfielder on a vet minimum contract, though I don't want his choking ass back at all.

But he'll probably be signed to a two year, $40 million contract or something stupid.

You should keep a guy like him and then offer him a job in the organization.

I certainly won't speak for Yankees' fans, but didn't fans kinda say the same thing about his last contract?

No,no, no ,no please dont bring back Gardner. I dont even care about the money. I just dont want him on the playoff roster. I dont doubt he can put up another solid season but he is just terrible in the playoffs against quality pitching. I'm not just talking about this past post season. I'm talking about his ten year sample dating back to 2009. He is a .200 hitter in the playoffs. I dont care about his "leadership" or club house presence. Someone needs to step the fk up in that regards. Stanton is a 30 year old veteran getting over paid 30m a year. Judge is 28 next spring. Sanchez is 27 and been on the team for 5 years.

More NY insult to Mickey Callaway. The Yankees could've had him, the Indians' actual pitching coach, but instead settled for his underling. Ouch.

I guess the Yankees weren't much impressed either.

I have no issues bringing Gardy back on the cheap.

Clubhouse leader and put up career numbers in a year where he wasn't supposed to get that much playing time.

Probably had to bring him back out of necessity as well with Hicks out 8-10 months after Tommy John surgery.

Return to New York Knicks
