Re: 2019-20 German Bundesliga Discussion Thread
Brych reminded me once again that he is the absolute worst referee in the league.
I have no clue how this guy is a Fifa referee. He should not even whistle Kreisliga games. Not competent enough.
I really hope next week will be the last game for Schwarz - I doubt it though.
Once again he was incapable of changing his 2 striker system pre-game which has worked well in exactly 0 of 7 games this season.

Re: 2019-20 German Bundesliga Discussion Thread
Seems like those away games actually work for us.
Third away game and third win away from home after that 3-0 win at Hoffenheim.
Thuram's getting better and better while I'm still not sure about Plea this season. He's scored again but he seems to be a bit off so far this season.
If Freiburg gets at least a point from their game at Düsseldorf then the top eight teams will be within three points...

Bottom 7 is pretty set. I think those teams will fight against relegation all season.

We sureley don't know what to do during those european games but it's been a nice ride so far in the league.
We're now top of the league after thrashing Augsburg 5-1, basically deciding the game within the first 13 minutes, scoring three goals.
Augsburg seem to be in deep trouble and look like they'll have a tough time stying up this season.
Also, Koubek

They will somehow stay up like every season. Their individual quality is better than Paderborn and Union.
Koubek is really a garbage keeper though. They had issues last year at that position already and decided to spend 7 mil on a „Bahnschranke“

Same goes for Mainz. We will stay in the league based on individual quality but it is really frustrating to see the same **** every year because the coach is not competent to implement a tactical system.
A good coach can really make a great impact. Cant believe we are still stuck with Schwarz.
We could at least get a guy like Zeljko Buvac (former Klopp assistant) or Domenico Tedesco.

Finally a win by Dortmund against the other Borussia!
They had so many chances, but scored only once. I really initially thought BVB would get the equalizer in the final minutes, but in this game they were lucky. And especially lucky for Favre to remain as coach.

Wish they would just play the U19 squad.
At least they would look like they care while being relegated.

If this is not the end of the Schwarz era in Mainz then I am done with this club.

Knowing Mainz how you usually handle things I doubt he'll get fired and will get another chance next week.
Though, that match against Union Berlin will most likely be brutal as hell with them sitting back and defendig and you guys trying to create against a defensive minded team.

BTW: We're, somehow, still top of the league and won 2-1 at Leverkusen.
We got quite lucky in the end but Marcus Thuram seems to be another brilliant signing by Eberl while Zakaria will certainly our most expansive transfer ever.

Union at least has a clear plan how they want to play even if the individual players are worse than ours.
We play like a bunch of headless chickens.

Assuming Kovac will be fired and Flick will be the coach for the next two games - who will the successor?

Not a lot of options out there. Mourinho maybe but doubt he fits to Bayern.
I'm guessing they'll ask someone to be a stopgap signing (maybe even Flick) and then go for ten Hag or Nagelsmann next summer.

So how many games does Abraham get? 10? 15?

Yes, please. That would secure Cologne finishes the season worse than we do.

You guys are linked with Heiko Herrlich. Would that be better?
Also, seems like we got lucky with that foul against Benes, who might be back shortly as nothing was broken.
We also signed 16 year old US right back Joe Scally from NYCFC.
He'll join us in January 2021, after his 18th birthday.

Now it seems that Cologne could choose Dardai over him.
