I don't care much about that, it's his defense (again proving worthy of all defensive teams as a PG, which is the toughest position in this league as a defender) and his ability to run the offense that's making a difference night in and night out. Such an underrated guy.

Great game all around, with only a few concerns. I think people in general are being a bit too critical with Dario. He's inconsistent and not an ideal starter in this league so far, but he works much harder than some people give him credit for, and he'll come up with an offensive rebound, a steal (averaging a career high 1.3 per game right now, though probably not quite sustainable), or a great read and a good pass here and there to help the team even if his shot's not falling. Kaminsky is not doing as well but he's also playing out of position since he's never been a true C, and I expect him to play better next to Baynes / Ayton when DA comes back. Monty has been doing well and his ultra-calm demeanor is what this team needs in these first stages (we'll see in the future), but I hope he makes better reads and doesn't stick so much to his rotations when the other team is on a big run like at the end of the first quarter, or against Miami. He likes to take Rubio out at about the 5 minute mark in 1st and 3rd quarters, then put him in to start the 2nd and 4th, and then give him some rest before closing out each half. This makes sense in general because Rubio goes all out every game and you want him as fresh as possible when he's on the court, but sometimes you have to cut your veterans' rest a bit short before things get out of hand with the young guys. Unfortunately Baynes is often in foul trouble so you can't bring him back to be that steady presence, but hopefully that will be another area where the team will improve upon Ayton's and Jerome's return (plus hopefully JJ is able to add another veteran during the season, even if he's only there as a third stringer to help off the floor and in those situations).

About Saric, I think we all agree he has been good on D and passing the ball with high IQ.
His problem has been posting/finishing around the basket and making 3s(only 33%).
I think he will improve, but we need him to make those open 3s at higher rate.

If Cam keeps shooting with confidence, how long before Monty's having the same conversation with Mikal?

Mikals bring a lot more to the table then just shooting. His defense is still outstanding.

Mikal been bringing nothing but defense to the table this season, much like Jevon.

I'm not giving up on him by any means. I think he'll put it together eventually, but he's been playing like a specialist rather than a rotation player this season. Sometimes the bench can do a player some good. Sometimes it can have the opposite effect. With Mikal, who knows? I'm just saying he should be next up if we have to shorten the rotation again. Injuries happen and he'll get plenty more chances to prove himself. But right now, I'd much rather see either Johnson out there than Mikal.

I think Bridges is just scared to ruin the flow and rhythm of the team by taking his own shot.

There are a lot of things different about this year from last, but the assist/turnover ration difference is astonishing. Last years team turned the ball over all the time. It was horrible. We went many possessions without ever getting a shot.

I've seen more back door cuts so far these 9 games then all last season. So night and day how this team is being coached now. Sure they got smarter and seasoned players in but if Igor was still the coach you'd see the same run around the perimeter playbook.

Frank can't shoot for **** right now but at least he's doing tons of dirty work, boxing out and hustling for the rebound. He's giving an inside smart presence more often than not. I'll take it.

Another great outing. One game at a time is fun.
