Will be THE biggest mistake the Knickerbockers make if/when they fire Fiz.

My gosh...it was not Fiz who made the decision to sign a million power forwards.

Upper management needs to stay in their lane and let Fiz coach and develop the players. Fiz is the one who has to work with the players Perry and Mills brought in. The fact Perry brought in his boy Elfrid just makes the whole Point God situation even more confusing.

Let Frank play. Free Frank! Bring DSJ off the bench and let him get buckets. Someone gotta get a big man to work with Mitch Rob to ease up on the fouls.

The signings aren’t on fiz but the way we play is. Fiz can’t even provide simple pick and roll plays. We’re watching Bobby portis post ups, Julius Randle shenanigans and iso Morris plays. That’s all on the coach he’s garbage. He doesn’t play the players to their strength either he tries to tap into some kind of secret talent he thinks they have and it’s just a mess and hard to watch

We were losing since the beginning of the season but we kept fighting in the loses and now we just lose and show no effort getting blown out on the regular with a offense that runs through power forward ISO’s and forcing the paint. That’s all on fiz and a sign your team is giving up on you. I give it about 5 more games until he’s outta here he ain’t the only one that needs to go though

Fun fact

Last year, Frank scored .76 point per possession on isolations and turned the ball over 5% of the time, which is abysmal, to say the least

This year, as a team we score .76 ppp and turn the ball over almost 19% of the time on isolations, and .78 ppp and 18% turnovers on post ups

Our team is statistically worse at isolating and posting up than Frank is at isolating, which is absolutely ridiculous to me, and we're near the top of the league in number of isos and post ups per game

That's on Fiz, 100%

Christ lol

My respect for Dolan would skyrocket if he finally sold the franchise.
Can’t expect that much pal. He’s arguably the best owner in the NHL. His biggest downfall right now is Steve Mills being our president. Otherwise he’s admitted and publicly stated that he’ll stay out of basketball operations. Only exception is who he hires/fires. Once we get a president who for sure is able to run a basketball operation, just like with the Rangers with our new president with John Davidson, newer ish GM Jeff Gorton. And our old GM/President Glen Sather.

Everything begins with a solid foundation. Jim Dolan is great with opening his check book. Sucks at speaking. So if we get that foundation to do the speaking for him like with the Rangers. I don’t see why the people would be in an awful position. Like KD said oddly, we aren’t the “cool” franchise. Because no winning, no management. Who wants to play with a HC like David Fizdale?

they also hired the coach. that's the thing about firing a coach you hired, you're admitting you f*cked up and you weaken your position. if the knicks still lose a lot this year, that's another red mark. next year looks similar and it's just about over.

You think they are given another offseason? No way am I doing that. They would get reckless trying to keep there jobs.

Like you said mills is Teflon but they can easily move him to more business side. He has no business making player personnel decisions.

I see it like this they plan of firing fix over the next couple weeks. If the team continues to stink for the rest of the year they have no excuse and they all should be fired.

They basically don’t get the right to hire a second coach. This isn’t there guy if he fails they all fail they are connected.

I want a new president to hire the GM and coach of this choice. Enough of this Bs

You don't thing Jimmy Dolan is an issue here?

I think dolans impact is overstated he allows you to spend whatever you want in terms of front office and coaches. Dolan sucks because he is not patient and has a tendency to meddle but he is the owner...you can’t do anything about him. Unless you start hitting him in his pockets and MSG and attendance is clearly impervious to losing. So he isn’t leaving because the Knicks franchise is a cash cow.

I can say that I'm miserable as a Knicks fan, but I can't ever say that they bore me.

Like watching Game of Thrones. It has a bad ending no matter what.

The savior has to be out there somewhere.

We always go for "established and proven". That's why we fail. We need to be innovative and represent the future with new talent, not recycle older out of prime coaches and executives.

We need great management, that's the key. It feels like Donnie Walsh was the only competent manager we've had, but he was overruled by Dolan and forced to change his vision to accommodate Melo.

At this stage we need to find fresh, new talent to lead the way.

We tried that with Perry and Fizdale

It's the right way to go, but we picked the wrong horses. Dolan values slick talking puppets with no substance. We need guys who are smart, with substance. They are out there. Find someone in Europe, shouldn't be too hard to find someone intelligent to run the Knicks. Honestly most armchair GMs here can see the mistakes being made.

It's also hard to tell how much of Perry's tenure there has been tainted by Mills. He needs to go.

I’m not really a fan of the Mills & Perry media address last night. Doesn’t really accomplish anything and it continues the perception that the Knicks are a circus. They should have pressured Fiz in private

It's never going to happen. He's not coming here. Established NBA winners see us as a joke. They aren't coming here unless they're extremely overpaid, out of prime, and looking for the last big payday of their career to coast through.

We need to find fresh, new talent who are intelligent.
