According to this link, in 2016, Gordon was expected to be out for six weeks but was back on court in 4.

Not sure how that impacts his comeback timeframe but it certainly couldn’t make it shorter

Apparently, the fracture was not simple & non-displaced.
It needs to be pinned.

I do not know enough to say & I do not blow smoke out of my expertise.

Surgery & pinning are apparently indicated when the angulation of the fracture exceeds a certain threshold.

I wonder if Hayward's injury would be a candidate for the "tightrope" surgery that the Alabama quarterback had done to his ankle and Drew Brees had done on his wrist? Supposedly, it leads to faster recovery and less chance of long term problems...

Pretty sure I read somewhere that surgery would actually make it a faster recovery time, with the majority of athletes opting for it instead of waiting out.

Hopefully this is the case.
