Lmao everything SAS said in the video is true though, whether you mess with him or not. Fizdale shouldn’t be our coach but he’s obvious the scapegoat for Mills & Perry. The team construction just ain’t working.

I feel like this tweet says it all. I mean sure roster construction causes some issues but clearly Fiz isn't putting people in the right spots to make shots.
I'm apart of a Knicks podcast! You Should check it out!

I wish someone owned the Knicks that didn't operate in the Media industry. This team feels like a Media company watching itself become more and more irrelevant only to come up with plans to jump on bandwagons after everyone else has jumped off. Google and the Nets beat you. There's no coming back.
I wish someone like Andy Yang owned the Knicks. If president doesn't work out, he should consider a takeover bid. Submit that Bear Hug.

SMH
This is wrong. The expectation was clearly to be better than last year and restore some respectability.
The restoring respectability ship left the port many many seasons ago. If Kyrie and KD giving the Knicks the Heisman (like I get from all the ladies SMH) wasn't a sign...not sure what the Knicks are expecting.
At this point, it's accumulate as many draft picks as possible and go from there. It ain't like players want to come to the Knicks willingly - Unless you happen to be a tweener and play the 4 spot.
Knicks can’t afford to that either...
A prolonged rebuilding without at least the hope of being a free agent attraction risks a fanbase mass exodus to Brooklyn...
That’ll be the ultimate embarrassment to Dolan
They NEED to at least look like they’re at least trying to win.

I wonder where we would be had Mills never re-signed Tim Hardaway Jr and didn't trade KP.

We have been mismanaged since the summer of 2017 and BKN could not have been better managed since 2017 and this still didn't happen after they got two superstars.
It's never going to happen. At best they'll get some folks to hate them less.

Re: WOJ: Knicks president [Mills] angling for David Fizdale firing
Fizdale is clearly not the man for the job. He lacks a clear basketball philosophy, he lacks conviction, he lacks consistency and his tactics look like Lee Krasner paintings. However, Fiz is just the tip of the iceberg and firing him will not address the real issue.
The real problem lies with the front office. The fact that this team is losing is not the issue in and of itself. If we were tanking, I wouldn't be mad. The issue is that they wanted to build a competitive team and they failed. They wanted to sign two max free agents and they failed. They wanted to build a culture and they failed. It doesn't matter that their incompetence might be positive for the franchise long-term since we're tanking by accident, the fact is that every strategy that they have tried to execute has failed spectacularly. That's incompetence.
And once again the problem is that this front office - along with many Knicks fans - still believe that a max free agent is going to fall from the sky and sign with us. That's why they are so attached to "cap flexibility". It's not cap flexibility, it's a delusion. The idea that we're going to sign Giannis is pure madness.
And this delusion is what is preventing us from actually building a team. Brogdon? Russell? In a guard-driven league? A 50-40-90 guy? A 23 year old All-Star? Nononononono! We can't give them long term contracts, we need to keep that cap flexibility for the Greek Freak! GTFOH. You want cap flexibility instead of building a team? You get Morris, Randle and Payton. This is what some of us deserve.
If I'm a head coach, no way I take this job unless trades are made.

This is a circus.
This all gives credence to KD, Kyrie and KP. Even when things are looking ever so slightly up, you can count on something going on behind the scenes....

Remember last preseason and at the start of the year where the circus was finally everywhere but in our backyard?
We were gifted a good 6-7 months before the Porzingis posting himself running idiocy.
At this point that window feels almost like it was a dream.
But now...

I'm still convinced Bobby doesn't get signed if they knew Marcus Morris was a real possibility from the jump... but then again you can blame them for that also (not being 100% prepared for any scenario).
The biggest issue for this team right now has really nothing to do with specifically who they signed, it's more about the guards and bigs not being utilized correctly and odd lineup choices that never remain consistent from game to game. That's a direct reflection of Fizdale. If you watched all the games from start to finish you would know this team should really be like 4-6 now instead of 2-8 (Spurs game should have been a win, we were up I believe 15 at one point in the 1st Celtics blowout loss, the Nets loss should have been a win if the coach had any semblance of an offense down the stretch, The Celtics buzzer beater game is self-explanatory). A good coach pulls out at least a few of those wins or they aren’t close games to begin with and yet Fizdale and the team fumbled all of them.
Is the roster construction less than ideal? Yes, there aren’t enough good passers on this team and there is definitely a clear lack of elite consistent shooting, but literally every new acquisition has a lower TS% than they did last year except for maybe Morris. Randle’s role has been completely bungled. I can’t even begin to describe how terribly misused he is. I’m not exactly a Frank supporter, but no person has been yanked around quite like him over his tenure here. The bigs seem allergic to actually setting screens. Bobby Portis has been changed from a nice stretch 4/5 option to a black hole post up threat. Dotson who at the very least played like a rotation player last year has been MIA until last night where he was yanked after providing good minutes and a +2 in the midst of a blowout… Trier is pulled for games on end and then all of a sudden is trusted to be the team’s pg when Frank goes to the bench. A role his skillset is not really conducive to and also a role he has never been asked to do in his career. RJ is consistently frozen out of the offense no matter what he is shooting like. Marcus Morris, a known vet with established strengths and weaknesses is consistently put in pick and roll situations over other better options that share the floor with him.
And that’s just the basic incompetence that I, a fan, can notice… These are all signs of a coach who either doesn’t prepare enough, simply does not understand his players or has no clear development plan for each individual player. No matter how you slice it it’s a clear indictment on David Fizdale and also a front office who clearly did not communicate whatever vision they may have had with their current personnel.
How many coaches have the Knicks had since Steve Mills is in that Garden office ?
I'm not absolving Mills from blame... Hell he hired the guy in the 1st place! lol. But what exactly does that have to do with how this team is being coached currently?
You can’t coach in this environment. Steve Mills has built this environment with Dolan.
The fact that this team plays better on the road than at home is enough proof that a change needs to be made at the very top.
We still don’t know why Donnie Walsh left without speech, why Grunwald was fired, why Mills was reintroduced despite the Isiah era,
and why Phil was fired days after being allowed to pick on the draft. Just like we don’t know why the felt necessary to address the media minutes after a Sunday game, following months of silence to address the off-season.
They don’t believe in the players, don’t believe in the coach who was hired to lure superstars. They are full of BS.

I mean how clear is it, if Fizdale gets fired you gotta get rid of Mills. At some point in time you have to look at the common denominator, it's Mills. Can't wait to see how this plays out, trade deadline can't get here fast enough.

Meh. Things aren’t as bad as the Cavs game and aren’t as good as the Mavs game. A tale of two _avs. We’ve got serious problems but so do lots of teams.
I defiantly believe we will win a title within 5 years and those who laugh can kiss my orange and blue butt.

Suns fans were feeling hopeless just a few months ago. Another poor season, firing a coach who was there for just a year, falling in the lottery and looking life having failed big time in the draft.
I don’t like Mills, I prefer a new President, but don’t give in to despair. What I love about this sport is just things can change quickly with a few lucky bounces.
