If he produces at this level, with him and Siakam maxed they are going to be another Memphis. Really good, not good enough.

So do you think they shouldn't pay FVV? I get where your coming from and I used to fall more in the binary clear champ contender or rebuild group but I've kind evolved on that. Every teams circumstances are unique but I've definitely shifted to being more in favor of try to stay as good as you can and be oportunistic with moves that push you over the top.Jez2983 wrote:paulpressey25 wrote:emunney wrote:Over under on FVV's next contract?

He is super inefficient with the ball. All he can do is shoot 3s, but for some reason, he tries to do more than that. As long as Toronto keeps winning and he is shooting around a 40% clip from deep it won't matter. But seeing him on anything close to a max contract would be absolute hilarity.

Even the Memphis teams you mentioned I don't think it was wrong how they approached things and they were probably one good move for a shooting wing from having a good shot at a chip. Hell even though they didn't ultimately accomplish their goals that was still a very positive run for a franchise thats been historically bad. It's not always as simple championship or failure.

And Nowak is like 60% right on his Smart takes. Hell of a player.

I had Orlando in mind as a potential suitor, but I checked and of course they're capped out. Go-go gadget John Hammond spending spree on average talent.
