Re: MIDDLETON OUT SEVERAL WEEKS
I think we need Middleton to get to the finals, but I don't think we will miss him all that much for a stretch of regular season games. Middleton brings zero intangibles to the table like killer instinct and leadership, so he's a guy where you really just miss his on court production. That can be replaced by committee. At least for a stretch.

Re: MIDDLETON OUT SEVERAL WEEKS
Glad it's early. Bucks have an easy schedule. Will be fine. Just need everyone healthy for playoffs. Losing anyone other than giannis doesn't move the needle one way or the other as long as it isn't multiple players. Just like last year when brog went down the team stayed on the same pace.

Did you really just post a lineup with the starting 2 guard being JR Smith?
Our actual management posted a lineup with the starting 2 guard being Tony Snell.

At least now if we have the ball with 3 seconds left in a tie game, we won't still manage to lose in regulation. Gotta look at the positives here.

Re: MIDDLETON OUT SEVERAL WEEKS
damn. I'll think of it as extended load management, playing for team USA has got to leave him pretty gassed. Hoping that he can come back strong (Suki is on it, so no worries there), and that some of the younger guys can really assert themselves in the interim.

Several weeks seems like a crazy long time for a muscle bruise though.

Rudy Gobert said he literally know the play before we ran it. That's on coaches.

Re: MIDDLETON OUT SEVERAL WEEKS
Aa much as I am not a fan of Middleton, the team is still better with him right now. Hopefully it really is just minor and he will be back soon.
The good news is that a couple other guys will get a chance to show they belong and the team will still be pretty damn good.

only a fan, only an opinion

Middleton still needs to put the shot up and let Gobert block it out of bounds so we keep possession. It's plays like that make people think Giannis is surrounded by guys who turn into mental midgets in critical and clutch situations.

Bad mistake, lets let it go and focus on everytime Middleton’s turned into MJ against Boston in the playoffs.

Re: MIDDLETON OUT SEVERAL WEEKS
Next 3 weeks features 7 home games and 4 road games. Road games are at Indy, Chicago, Atlanta and Cleveland. So yeah the schedule is easier than the beginning of the season. Would be nice to have him back vs. the Clips. To say he won't be missed is naive. It's not like his salary goes away too. There will be lots of spin on here regardless of if the Bucks play well or don't without him.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

In terms of performance Hill is up there easily with Bledsoe/Middleton

Will we? Does anyone - outside of DD, mind you - think that the team would be better with addition-by-subtraction removing Middleton?
I mean, this is not good news no matter how you slice it. The silver lining is more time for the young guys, namely Sterling and DDV, but you would hope that's over Wes and Korver most nights and not over Middleton over a period of "several weeks".
It's a good time for this to happen if it's going to happen. Still not good.

Gonna take him a while to get back into game shape after this, assuming he won't be running for the duration of the injury.

So you don't think Thanasis gets minutes?
I would certainly hope not. He's like our 14th best player. Maybe.
