It'll be interesting to see how Ja does while being guarded by Murray and White tonight.

Ja will have the two-headed monster defense thrown at him. I'm expecting Ja to get his way for a few possessions. Pop will make sure Ja gets parked at the perimeter mostly tonight. With the Spurs, they always plan for the Grizzlies well in the past. This Grizzlies team will be different. They are young, athletic, and looking to make things competitive.

Spurs are another good 3pt shooting team. I'm looking to see how well Memphis defend the arc where they've lost all their games so far.
Mavs hit 18, 6 more 3's with the same amount of attempts as Memphis. That's an 18pt differential on the 3pt line, in a 16pt loss.

Love when Jaren is aggressive with mismatches. He’s at his best hammering the post then getting wide open 3 looks. Need him to develop and stay out of foul trouble. He, Morant and Clarke are 3 foundation pieces who fit together very well depending on what you put around them

JJJ had another good game. I know he stepped out on that made 3, but imma count it anyway: 5/7 from deep tonight, only 2 fouls, 5 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 stocks, 2 turnovers, and 24pts (27 with that 3)
Ja struggled tonight
Clarke with another good and efficient game
I'm digging our core.

With JJJ it’s all about playing with aggression but under control, on both ends. His length, strength and touch are amazing when he stays balanced on post moves. That along with being capable of hitting 3s like tonight is why he can be a key cog on a winner.
Clarke shooting like he is raises his ceiling tremendously. He is ELITE defensively and so quick with that floater. He’s a winner.
We know what Ja is capable of. He will be able to pick us up when we go cold. Didn’t need to tonight

Ja is struggling with the pnr on both ends. He also needs to start taking more 3's to help diversify his driving game.
If not for all the careless unforced TO's by Memphis this could have been a comfortable win.
Some solid performances from Brooks, Clarke, JV .. & Marko showing he's more than a shooter. If I'm not mistaken he ran point for a bit.
Nice to see 3J put up a strong performance. Now we just need him & Ja to do it in the same game.

I think once these two guys can work out their kinks around their chemistry, they should benefit from their improvements in the long run.
