Casey is a total inept.

I feel for ya, we went through something similar when Sam Mitchell was here. Unfortunately for us though, if you think it can't get any worse, it can....

Yeah, Thon is awful, but it’s really damn near everyone. Minny has been shooting well lately, yes, but the D has been poor against everyone. You need to be as bad as the Knicks to not light us up.

That, and get a rebound. No Wolves player got less than 2, while Detroit had 4 with 1, and 2 with 0. Put it together and this team has too many soft players.

Someone mentioned it on Reddit but it does feel like somehow we lost the Stanley Johnson trade. Putting Thon out there really makes it feel like we thought he was going to be good enough to backup both our starting 4 & 5 and just winged it. Even when there were washed up but still ok bigmen out there to be had for the vet min.

Thon shouldn't be playing.

However, trading an expiring in an off season when you wouldn't have any cap space for an expiring in the next off season where you might be able to do something with it isn't a bad trade. That's good cap management.

The snell/blake pairing looked pretty good though. He looks like he'll get that reggie bullock role of shooting open 3's behind a blake screen/handoff.

DRose isn't healthy yet.

Dre can't/won't guard a perimeter oriented center. KAT has 7 uncontested 3's. I don't even know how you manage to get in foul trouble when your man is spending most of the game around the 3 point line.

Blake is Blake. Casey just needs to stop calling his number every time down the court. It's a bad offense in general, but it's going to wear him down.

Thon sucks but Stanley was so infuriating to watch that imo the trade is a win just to not have to watch him anymore.

I can't remember a single occasion where the Pistons were able to hold onto a lead with thon maker in the game. This guy is almost totally useless as a Defender. Donta hall who is playing in grand rapids Would probably be a upgrade defensively. Thon has to go now.

I have zero faith anyone in the front office, owner, or even coach knows 100% what is happening from day to day, when that's exactly their job.

Wood is 100% better at everything then Maker, but inexplicably doesn't play over him.

I have no way to understand why Casey is playing him other then Wood has a crappy attitude, and is disruptive to the team somehow. Even someone suffering from a blow to the head who watched a game can tell in any situation that Wood is the clear choice yet, Maker comes in.

I am absolutely puzzled why this is happening.

Is this the case? Is Wood a problem in the locker room and I missed the memo?

Nah, wood just blows assignments - especially on defense. I think he might just be a knucklehead ala javale mcgee. It drives coaches nuts. Casey just needs to get over it though and let him play through it. He's athletic enough to make a difference even with all the mistakes.
