i think it might be too early to entertain trades but i would trade musa and kurucs, im not too high on them although they are cheap and on rookie contracts at the moment.

Honestly... DeAndre Jordan is the only player I want off the team, but I doubt that happens this year because of his relationship with Kyrie and Durant...

i wonder what are the chances musa gets traded

lets say he asks for a trade or brooklyn wants to trade him... is it doable given he has barely played nba minutes

id like him to succeed on a good team and organization like brooklyn nets, but if he cant get minutes here, i believe he would get minutes on some other team, given theres a lot of players who are not any better than musa that get minutes on other teams

I don't think the Nets are going to trade Musa. They invested a 1st rounder on him and he's only in his 2nd year and is 20yrs old.

Unless a team offers a 1st for him, I don't see the motivation to trade him considering he has not looked terrible or a sunk cost and actually flashes upside.

He'll be on the team for at least another 2 seasons unless the Nets make a blockbuster trade to acquire a 3rd All-Star and they add in Musa as "filler"

musa just looks lost and clueless when he is on court and doesnt look like an nba player. kurucs looks like the same thing this year.

they can get trade pinson too. the other players i want to take a look at more closely.

Magic fan coming in peace (actually from Brooklyn and second team I follow somewhat closely).

There was a rumor on Reddit/IG that the Nets offered Dinwiddie/Harris/FRP for Aaron Gordon and wanted to see if anyone knew of the legitimacy of it.

Apparently it came from a Nets insider that claims that trade has been on the table since this summer...

That's not a terrible deal in terms of value exchange, but I think that that ship may have sailed for now. Extending Caris and Taurean sort of cemented their starting spots for this season, and IDK if the Nets want another large contract at one of the forward spots. Maybe next summer, Prince/+ for AG would make sense.

The idea that I've been mulling over is this 3-way:

NETS: Dinwiddie/Harris/GSW1st/PHI1st for Brogdon/McConnell

CELTICS: Hayward for Warren/Harris

PACERS: Brogdon/Warren/McConnell for Hayward/Dinwiddie/GSW1st/PHI1st

Joe and Spencer have been part of this rebuild, but I think it's time to part ways and upgrade them into one starting SG who can moonlight as our backup PG. That's Malcolm in a nutshell. He's having a great start to the season, and could take some play-making pressure off of Kyrie. He's also a better overall defender than either (that's not saying a ton, but still). TJ is a throw-in so that IND can match salary, but I think he's the kind of bulldog bench PG we need.

Crazy, how? Value/fit for us? Value/fit for one or more of the of the other teams?

If as I assume you are saying that Harris and Dinwiddie are worth way more than Brogdon, tell me a SG for which you would trade both of them. Harden, Butler, Thompson, Booker, Beal, then it gets a bit subjective. I'd put Oladipo ahead of Malcolm, but if choose him over Mitchell, McCollum, DeRozan, Hield and others.

Bro no way I'm giving up all the value for Brogdan and McConnell.

Hmm maybe put Prince in place of harris I might consider this, not sure how early we can trade Prince tho since we agreed on an extension. I really love Din though, I hope we can keep him long term. But I think the guy I want more than Gordon is Isaac and Bamba. Isaac has DPOY potential and he would be awesome here next to Kyrie and KD. That's the guy I would go after but I highly doubt Magics would even entertain getting rid of him.

I'm not trading Spencer or Joe Harris.

I see no reason to do anything except let this team develop chemistry and wait for KD.

I really like a lot of our players, don’t really want to trade them unless we’re getting a legit star back. Joe Harris is legit one of the best shooters in the league, he meshes really well with Kyrie. Dinwiddie has the potential to be 6MOY. Musa and Kurucs are both 20-21 year old players that clearly have potential, I don’t want to send them away in a trade before we know what we actually have in them.

Idk, maybe that’s just me.

I would only do minor trades, preferably defenders. We need a guy that can defend guards, maybe that's Nwaba, and a guy that defends wings.

You would be selling low.

Let them bulk up, get experience and develop the flashes we have seen into more consistent production.

We turned over most of the roster and have many inexperienced players, as the team develops chemistry all boats should rise.

I am not saying don't trade either guy this year but now is not the time.

MDB, you are one of the beacons of reason and rationale on this board (heck, on this site). I've seen you preach patience, and demand better than their play thus far. I know you think that we can solve all of our problems internally in due time. All I'm saying is, IF we can't/won't/don't fix this in-house, you must admit that Dinwiddie and Harris are pretty much the only trade options this season. KD and KI are untouchable, DJ is untouchable by association (sorry, it's true), CLV and TP can't easily be traded this season due to PPP, and the kids and cheap vets are worth more to us than to most other teams.

Also, I am concerned that waiting for KD is a poor use of resources. I have not seen Joe and Spencer work well together for long stretches. When KD returns, Harris is likely the one to be shunted into a 2nd-unit position next to Dinwiddie. I don't see either thriving in that scenario. I can't explain WHY they don't seem to gel on-court, but I have noticed it for awhile.

Brogdon and McConnell can't be traded until December 15th, and even then, Indy probably won't dare to move Malcolm until they have a decent sample size of games with he and Victor playing together. I personally feel that SD's game will mesh better with Oladipo, and their depth could support the downgrade but we'll see. Also, now that we know Hayward is out for the next 6 weeks, Indy wouldn't pull the trigger until they saw him in action again. They could really use a pure SF instead of TJ, but I'm sure they want to see a healthy Gordon first. This is likely a trade deadline deal for all teams, and I think it would strengthen each of them going into the postseason.
