What do you guys think the value for CJ McCollum is in the trade market?

I ask because if Simons can breakout like i expect he can given minutes I'd think CJ might be movable similar to how Portland transitioned to CJ from Wes Matthews.

Portland fans view Simons as a promising but still a work in progress.

CJ's big value is next summer when Whiteside and Bazemore come off their books and CJ will be
a highly desired expiring contract allowing Portland major cap flexibility. Right now Simons is
not anywhere near replacing CJ but come next year, he could be ready.

Is the consensus still the same for this? or are the opinions changing?

Opinions could be changing, but I personally don't think its a good take. CJ hasn't had a good start to the year and Simons is hot. Happens every season for the first 10-20 games until things smooth out. That said, I think its clear Simons is closing the gap, but the gap is still significant.

Simons has a lot of potential, I think he could turn into an elite scorer down the road
