Grab a guard to go with wiseman or Edwards.

Would be worth it

Tough position, but if it could net us Edwards and Williamson... really really may consider. Would hate to lose Robinson, though.

Edwards
Barrett
Williamson

^amazing variety of skill set!

It’s tough. Say you snagged two top 5 picks. By trading Mitch and Knox
I think Edwards is the best player in the draft ( obviously early to say). Who do you draft with him if you had the chance. Wiseman , but then you still have no true point guard , or do you draft a pg like Cole , and have cole / Edwards/ Barrett but have no PF or Center set

Then do you pair him with a guard

Knox/Mitch not getting you a top 5 pick at all maybe a Early-middle teens pick. We like to overrate players value.

Would take cole/wiseman though.

Agreed. Would have to include probably both Mavs picks.

I don’t think it’s crazy to think

Mitch Knox. Mavs 23 Mavs 21(top 10 protected )
Could net a top 7 pick.

However I just don’t think I’d be able to pass on Edwards/wiseman.

Seeing them both play side by side, Edwards looks like the better player

Another hypothetical.

we are sitting at 1
GS sitting at 2

Golden state asks for RJ for the number 2

You get wiseman and cole

do you do it?

No way for me

I think someone rises and one of Hampton cole lamelo fall

I’d be trying everything outside of trading rj to snag a pick between 5-7 range for one of them

Trading Knox , Mitch both mavs pick Protected knicks first

Just like people wanting to try and get garland last year and trading future picks and players to pair him with rj. I’d look to move a lot. Get your pg and either wiseman or Edwards to go with that point guard and RJ

Future is set of Barrett , Cole/lamelo/Hampton and either wiseman or Edwards

Lamelo's shoots from his chin, its a huge problem. We already have seen what happens when you draft PGs that cannot score. Its just not 1995 anymore and everyone that starts or plays 30mpg on the team needs to be a scoring threat. He's not as strong, tall, or athletic as Ben Simmons coming out.

Cole worries me a little. He doesn't have enough size to be a SG and he's not athletic or quick enough on tape for me. He can end up having a nice career as a backup or 25mpg as an undersized SG that can handle the ball a little. Kinda reminds me of Seth curry or George hill type role player/career trajectory.

Wiseman is clear Clear #1. His athleticism for his size is unreal. His FT shooting looks really good which leads me to believe he can develop a jumper.

First I would make sure we draft Wiseman at #1. Wiseman ending up with the Warriors would be a total disaster.

As to #2 for RJ trade I will be hesitant. RJ seems like a guy that genuinely wants to be a Knick and we would need potential stars like him with that mindset.

It will be curious to see what the Warriors would do if they don’t land #1 but remain in the Top 5. After Wiseman it is a guard heavy draft but the Warriors will be getting back Curry and Klay on top of having DLo.

I have a feeling they would consider shopping DLo plus the #2-5 pick to see if that could net them another superstar.

Rough half for Edwards right now. Just got his first field goal on a breakaway dunk but I don't know if he usually has tendencies where he floats around but so far I've kinda seen him float around a bit too much.

Nice pullup jumper from Edwards, his shot is so smooth. Now he's looking more engaged and I really like his activity on the defensive end too
