What Portland is throwing out there at the 4 is unteneble. This team won't break 35 wins without getting something better than the Hezonja/Tolliver rotation that's happening.

Losing by double digits in the 2nd half to a sub .500 Kings team with no Fox or Bagley..... This team is in serious trouble

Without a trade that leaves Little.

Might be the best thing for the blazers though. It's starting to look like we'll end up with a top 10 pick which is actually good for the franchise.

I thought the idea for this season was to punish with good distant shooting opponents trying to double Lillard. Not happening--no reason not to double, even triple, team Lillard.

How long until Dame demands a trade?

FMD this team is the Thanksgiving Turkey. Stick a fork in 'em, they're done.

Watch Olshey fall in love with an athletic turnstile like Collins, Leonard, Aminu, etc, etc.

Precious Achiuwa it is.

Dame is in no position to demand a trade. I think the whole team needs to just sit down and understand that this isn't their year. Tolliver and Hezonja won't be in the league next year, and Whiteside is looking at a TPE level contract next year. This is Portlands front court right now. If Portland doesn't make a trade for a front court player, they're not winning 35 games. This front court is too bad, and it has nothing to do with acclimation. It's talent.

Collins is this teams best and most versatile defender. Try again.

Aside from a 20-year-old kid who because of his age is likely to have as many poor nights as good nights, this team doesn't even have anyone on the bench that is even marginally NBA talented.

These guys all belong in the G League. Little has scope to be an NBA player in a year or two but isn't there yet.

Because of Collins injury, we only have 3-NBA caliber starters and two, maybe, handy bench players forced to start. One of those three cares nothing about his team or the game so long as he gets his numbers.

Not even a healthy Nurk can save this team.

I agree. However, that's not saying very much. At all.

He's average at best (with scope for a lot of improvement) when compared to his position at the NBA level.

You called him a turnstile that's just plain not true.

it's not true?

Look at his opponent's layup and dunk rates when he's been on the floor. Almost every single one of them are above their normal level.

It's nice to admire a young player putting in the work to realize his potential but the numbers do not lie.

Team however is likely to recover at some point mid-season for they still have enough firepower
with Dame/CJ and Simons and if Nurk can come back prior to the trade deadline, perhaps could
make a trade for some front court help. Going to have to limp along with what they have for it
was easy to see in early pre-season the team had lost a lot a lot when they allowed their entire
front court to leave and were counting on Whiteside to have a big season.

Assuming Zach Collins comes back strong, the team still needs a starting caliber SF and a solid
PF reserve.
