Me refreshing Wikipedia hoping someone will finally upload a detailed plot breakdown of Death Stranding. I'm not gonna play it but I do wanna know what kind of batsh*t plot Kojima cooked up.

That game has garnered some strong opinions. Kojima putting the tedious walking back and forth into the game to drive the point that walking back and forth sucks is hilarious.

LMAO the wiki is delivering.

Spoiler:
The game is set in an apocalyptic United States, where a cataclysmic event known as the "Death Stranding" caused "BTs"—invisible creatures originating from the "Beach", a land said to be the link to the afterlife—to begin roaming the Earth. BTs cause explosions known as "voidouts" when they consume the dead by necrosis, and produce rains known as "Timefall"—which rapidly age and deteriorate whatever it hits. These events damaged the country's infrastructure, leading its remaining population to confine themselves to remote colonies known as "KNOTs", which form the remaining "United Cities of America".[8][4][5][14]

These colonies have since relied on the services of a company known as Bridges, whose couriers brave the BTs to deliver supplies to the colonies. Bridges also performs various governmental functions on behalf of the UCA.[8][4][5][14] If they achieve a mental connection to a "Bridge Baby"—a premature child reflecting a state between life and death—it is possible for a person to sense the presence of a BT. Couriers carry a bridge baby with them, which is stored in a pod simulating a mother's womb. A condition known as "DOOMs", depending on its severity, also allows a person to naturally sense, see, or even control a BT.[14][5]

A proficient courier afraid of human contacts named Sam Porter Bridges (Norman Reedus) is on a way to a delivery of smart drugs when a Timefall suddenly begins, killng crows on the way. He then try to avoid it but have an accident when he thinks that he killed a woman who suddenly appeared out of nowhere, resulting in losing his motocycle. He then find refugee in a cave but is saved by the woman, named Fragile (Léa Seydoux), from the "accident", from a BT. When she leaves, Sam continues his delivery. Arrived at Central Knot City, he meets Igor and is tasked to take a dead corpse to the nearest incinerator to avoid attracting BTs. The nearest is known to be full of BTs but they have no choice. The mission goes horribly wrong when Igor and his assistant are killed by BTs. However, Sam is saved. He awakes and meets Deadman (Guillermo del Toro), a doctor from Bridges. Sam is then tasked to deliver morphine for the dying president of the UCA.

Arrived, the cancer has deteriorated and meet a old foe, Die-Hardman (Tommie Earl Jenkins). He is tasked by his dying mother and president of the UCA, Bridget, to connect all of the colonies to the Chiral Network—a high-speed communications system that uses Chiralium, a form of matter that was introduced to the world by the voidouts, and is not affected by the passage of time.[14][15][5]

He accepts, and Bridget dies. He brings her corpse to an incinerator but a Timefall comes, and cuts out electricity. Sam then tries to escape a hord of BTs and go back to the Bridges GQ.

I can barely understand this and it's hilarious.

Just noticed that Fortnite now has Skill Based Match Making. That might be enough for me to return to it.

Trying to get into COD this year, generally avoid it and stick to BF but since much of our clan hasn’t played BF in recent months a buddy and I opted to get COD. I feel I have a love hate relationship with it. The game is fun at times but beyond frustrating many others. The non stop camping, the shotguns the non objective playing snipers who have excellent lines of sight on many maps really are ruining it. Watching kill cams has become laughable, so many guys no scoping just spraying bullets with terrible aim and getting kills. It feels if you have any delay in your connection vs others it doesn’t matter If you shoot first chest or head with a assault or smg style weapon. Last night 3 shots to my left foot with a M4A1 was enough to kill me despite 6 to the chest and neck area.

I’ve been traveling so much that I haven’t played Outer Worlds much. My laptop is more powerful than my desktop, but it just doesn’t seem like the right experience for the game.

So I downloaded BG2 again for another run through it in prep for BG3, hopefully next year. Downloaded some new mods with updated classes, weapons, abilities. It didn’t age perfectly, but it’s done pretty damn well for a 20 year old game. The story and quests and characters are timeless. Reinforces it being part of my video game pantheon.

It's actually funny you say this. I was initially having a lot of fun playing it for 30-60 minutes every so often at launch, it seems everyone else has already gotten ridiculously good and I suck at it to the point where it's frustrating.

Agree with everything you say, I walk around a corner and there is a camper with an LMG, 2 shots and I'm dead and he was hip-firing. I spawn, move 10 feet and a sniper pops me. I even try to move slow and sneak around and there are so many angles to kill me from I don't even know how I die until the kill cam. One thing that did help, is I went from using my Razer Nommo speakers to a headset and hearing the footsteps in surround sound headphones has helped a ton. I still suck, just getting owned is making me lose interest.

100% I dont want to entirely knock it it's got some quality going for it and is an improvement from years past. I do enjoy myself but I shouldn't get so upset with a game. Like Euphrate Bridge I can always guess I'll be sniped across the map repeatedly. I have no issue with dying but sometime the way it happens is mind blowing. Once the play of the game was someone throwing a knife over the bridge at match start and netting a kill. If that ever happened to me I'd be done for a long while.

I was initially excited for ground war being a BF player but the lines of site make it so sniper friendly it's hard to play as an assault without getting your head blown off when you expose yourself for a capture. I'd love to see a stat at conclusion of each match showing total movement. I can almost guarantee these guys going 25-2 while camping arent moving much at all. Then stupid me doesnt see anyone so I go hunting and in a dark corner you cannot see BOOM 725 shotgun to your kneecap dead.

Almost all of the maps in the new COD are terrible, IMO.

Read a Kotaku game diary about the new COD today. God it sounds like an awful game.

I don’t even know how to feel about Kojima anymore. I haven’t liked a metal gear game since snake eater, but he always seemed like a quirky personality. Now I see him whoring his brand out to celebrities and essentially trying to make movies out of his senseless plots
