Something to keep an eye on :o

That's absurd. The way he confidently steps into those 3s from above the break now and sinks them is mind blowing considering last year they'd barely touch the rim.
I don't think I've ever seen a player grow and develop his game as fast as Siakam in my life.
Someone to definitely keep both eyes on. :o

Heck, if he gets any more spicy I’m about to keep my third eye on him also.

I think he's officially entered the top 15. Could potentially be top 10 by the end of the season if he keeps playing at this rate.

If Pascal continues to average 27/9 a night, with great defense, he's in the top 10.

His ascension into stardom is pretty crazy and worth being talked about.

For sure. Me personally, I think he makes a strong case for top 10 but I was being modest. A lot of folks still seem hesitant to give him his just due.

And was the #2 guy on a championship team a few months ago. Ain't like he's stat stuffing on a lottery team.

Siakam is that good that he could be for the Raptors this year what Kawhi was last year.
Siakam can take Raptors back to the NBA finals. Not saying it will happen, but its becoming realistic very fast

let's say Siakam can fill Kawhi's shoes, but then who this year fill's siakam's old shoes? That's the issue.

He's been playing great, and leading much better than I expected, but we have to acknowledge that we saw him struggle [by his standards] against the very top echelon of the league in Giannis and AD who have the length and athleticism to slow him down. Still, when you think of the context of it taking DPOY-level guys to give him a hard time, that's still a hell of an accomplishment.

Siakam clearly has a type that he struggles against. It's not a coincidence that Isaac seems to bother him more than Draymond. It's a good thing Gobert doesn't play in the Atlantic division. The main thing that makes me think he'll overcome the length and athleticism of those guys is his jumper. It's too wet and it's only getting wetter. Soon he's going to be soaking people in threes.

I mean, it would be more by committee this year. Kyle before his injury was playing rejuvenated averaging over 22 pts 5 boards and 7 assists, OG is much improved over last year, Terence Davis is emerging off the bench, Ibaka is looking more comfortable, and RHJ is coming into his own recently. They have a more ball movement-centric offense this year without Kawhi and lots of players are reaping the benefit.

The committee approach works for the regular season but in the playoffs it's less dependable, where rotations shrink and the level of play increases, and you have to fight fire with fire in terms of playing other playoff teams with multiple all-star caliber players.

The Bulls lost Jordan in '93, and between Pippen stepping his game up to MVP-level and guys like Kukoc coming in to help compensate, the Bulls made noise in the playoffs in '94 but they couldn't fully compensate by committee for Jordan's absence.

I can see it playing out similarly with the Raptors, getting to the 2nd or 3rd round but ultimately not having enough upper echelon talent to go further.

It's not a hot start if he sustains it (which he will). Come back in 10 games, but I doubt you will. A lot of pascal skeptics were active at the start of the regular season but they've mostly mysteriously disappeared.
