Lavine to the 76ers is perfect.
He gives them shooting and a perimeter closer that they desperately need.

I was thinking the same. He would be great on Philly. Would like that Clippers first rounder next year

Josh Richardson and Clippers 1st for Lavine?

I'd be shocked if Philly gave up that much. I just want future assets. I'll drive Zach to the airport. Addition by subtraction.

I think Philly wants to get rid of Harris max contract asap for cap relief. I would trade Lavine+ Porter for Harris/Smith/2frps.
Although its a terrible one, he could generate positive value to a contender when he has less than 2yrs on the deal.
Lauri for Isaac since Magic are stupid franchise.
Lineup of White/Smith/Harris/Isaac/Carter is all you can ask for on a lottery team. Harris would be great veteran presence too.
Lamelo will be a future superstar Bull. Book it. Lavar for president!

That's not that much value at all. The Clippers 1st isn't valuable.
I was thinking Josh Richardson + Thybulle + Zhaire Smith for Lavine + Hutch

I'm not seeing Philly as a seller on Richardson or Harris.

Well they'd need to move one of them to match salary on anyone significant.
I like Richardson, but he's never had a PER higher than 14. They'd move him for sure.

re; Clippers first-- while it will be late first, I'm all for acquiring as many picks as possible that the Bulls can later package in the scenario that we get the 5th pick and need to jump to, say #3.
We're not a free agent destination. I would hate to be in a situation where the ping pong balls don't fall in our favor and we're picking 5th in a 3-man draft. If we can stockpile a handful of late firsts we'd have a better chance of putting together a package to move up for a guy we like.
re; your proposed trade-- I think we disagree on the market value of Lavine and Hutch. As it stands today, Hutch is worth a bag of chips, and Lavine isn't getting you Richardson and Thybulle, IMO.

Zach for Aaron Gordon makes a ton of sense for the Magic, but would require other Bulls moves.

Definitely makes sense as a deadline move if Philly continues to struggle offensively

The Bulls have the second youngest roster in the league (24.8 years old average) and could stand to have a veteran presence in the locker room for leadership purposes.
Morris....leadership? I don't know about that.
The Spurs should trade for him then send him to the G-League

Zach and Felicio for DeRozan? Spurs have had trouble reaching an extension with him and are desperate for 3pt shooting.
Problem is Pop probably doesn’t seem to like Zach given the no Team USA invite. He might be the one guy who could save him.

Can we add Dunn for Derrick White into that deal?

Re: NBA Trade Thread
IMO DeRozan would actually be a downgrade from Zach. There's no turning-back for a low-energy 30yo athletic wing who makes a living in the mid-range iso and doesn't defend at a high level. Rather have the 25yo who shoots 3Ps on higher volume and has athleticism and 3y of $20m salary.
I get it -- I don't like Zach and most the world has come to terms that he is quite a bad team IQ player. Still, you have to recognize that he gets you 20 ppg shooting below his career average in 10-game sample size. I wouldn't go overboard and dump him for a SG who is shooting 0% from the 3P line this year. Kind of interesting that Pop has entirely taken that shot away from him, but it's not like he's got a good career average (28% from 3P).
I see Orlando making the talent blitz this quarter. Going for Love, DeRozan, etc. making something of their weird pie. They're warming up to Isaac as a glue piece, and they're probably OK sending Bamba out as an asset.
Frankly I think Fournier and lotto-protected FRP would get it done.

Wishful thinking, but I don’t see how SA remains interested at that point

I agree generally, but the point of the deal was that Demar is likely opting out this summer. You get a tryout to see if he fits and if he doesn’t, you just cleared Felicio and Zach’s salary. They still need more veterans. The Bulls are also desperately short of true wings yet loaded with guards.
His lack of 3s is a good thing for him. The Bulls are not in need of any more shooters. They have only one true non-3pt shooter that plays, WCJ.

I see no chance that SAS takes Felicio's salary. Also I don't think DD is worth the salary extension consideration.
