No, we are not taking Harden seriously. We don't give MVPs for FT attempts.

What happened when KD went down friends? Curry took Hardens soul... For the 5th time.

Its 2019 and people still using FG%

You still can't do stats right, huh?

Harden is over 42 percent and at 33 percent from 3 after tonight.

Harden's last 6 games? 48 percent from the field and 43 percent from 3.

Hahah aww you're adorable you Harden superstan you. Did he eclipse that and reach the MONSTER 43/33/88 threshold?

Hint: We all still can't stand Harden. And we all know he will shrivel under the pressure of a game 5 or 6 or 7. We are over his shtick as far as being an MVP is concerned. He did not deserve the one he got.

Yeah, he didn't deserve it and yet he's been 1 or 2 in MVP voting the last 4 out of 5 years.

I didn't see a Harden thread on page 1, so I'll just put this here.

Harden is now averaging the third highest single season points per game in NBA history at 38.7, behind 1962 Wilt Chamberlain and 1963 Wilt Chamberlain. Just behind Harden, rounding out the top five, are 1961 Wilt Chamberlain and 1960 Wilt Chamberlain.

Only Harden and Giannis are legitimate candidates up until now. Anybody else being mentioned is because of bias.

Harden started really bad but with his last few games turned this into a duel once again with Giannis.

Giannis just like the previous season is a consistent two way monster and this year he seems somehow even better because the Bucks can't blowout teams(Bad team shooting, no Brogdon, injured Middleton) like the previous season so he has to do more even more.

Lebron plays great but you can't be considered a MVP when you have a two way top 5 player behind you.
The same could hurt Harden if Westbrook reaches his MVP level for a few months later in the season.

It's Harden vs Giannis right now. After them there's some good second tier guys who will deserve some votes, but right now there's only 2 real options.

The Greek Freak/Spicy P comparison will be a lot easier to do when they're playing together in 2021.

There's also Baylor's 62 season where he averaged 38.3ppg which sometimes isn't counted because he only played in 48 games that year.

If the Lakers win 60 games then LeBron will be right there whether people like it or agree with it or not. Even Giannis isn't a shoe in right now because the Bucks' win total may be in the low 50's and voters don't like that.

I don't think you are distinguishing between what the mvp should be in your mind and what it actually is to the people who vote for it.

Right now if the season ended there would be two sub-500 teams in the playoffs. Again, 61 wins in the East isn't that impressive when you feed off of so many bottom feeders.

Yeah the league looks fairly balanced right now mainly because of GSW turning into a tank and Miami, Raptors and Boston overperforming estimations atm.
