reports out that McDaniels has finally been offered a contract
According to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer, the tendered contract was a required tender to protect his draft rights. He also went on to say that they may or may not offer him a minimum deal for this upcoming season.

This team has a ridiculous amount of wing players:

PJ, Bridges, Marvin, MKG, Batum, Bacon, McDaniels, and the Martin twins.

4 hours ago – via Quinton Wash @ NBA.com
Charlotte Hornets President of Basketball Operations & General Manager Mitch Kupchak announced today that the team has converted the contract of forward Jalen McDaniels to a two-way contract. The Hornets selected McDaniels with the 52nd overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. McDaniels, a 6-10 forward from San Diego State, earned All-Mountain West Second Team in 2018-19 and All-Mountain West Third Team in 2017-18 as a freshman.

I wish we would call up and give McDaniels some minutes and see what type of pro he is. Both he and Franks actually.

Maybe when he gains 40 pounds

Im very intrigued with Franks. He can shoot the hell out of the ball.

I've watched the last few Hornets games and this guy is passing my eye test. Not sure how much my eye test is worth though.

Anyway it's nice to see the Hornets going full youth movement and I'm glad McDaniels is getting a chance to play steady minutes off the bench. Not sure if he sticks in the rotation once Cody is cleared to play.

I really didn’t see McDaniels getting meaningful minutes this season. It’s remarkable how well this franchise has utilized the g league and second round draft picks the last two years. We have a stockpile of young developing talent and if only a few of them pan out then job well done. We have never been able to find rotation guys in the second round and even if they had potential, we didn’t develop them.

The thread title was because that UNCNYC guy had Jalen ranked above Zion for like the whole season and all the way up to the draft.

lol. I still believe he can be better than Zion. Jalen McDaniels is such a PURE basketball player. The guy can play 3 maybe 4 positions. He has a great jumper, great defender, runs the floor, penetrates, and can create his shot.

The title of the thread is simple but if it were to come true as far as him being better than ZION it could end up being EPIC.

I know this is a REACH but imo McDaniels is our 3rd best player behind Graham and Rozier

Signing Hayward had me look at McDaniels footage. I really think we should have kept our youth movement going. I hope it was a good move. Between him and Bridges I think that was enough to at least invest time in.Either way I CANNOT WAIT for the start of this season.

My dream tonight is McDaniels gets a lot of PT against YuTa Watanabe. YuTa got signed to the Raptors G League. (wish it were ours) I LOVE both of them. Hopefully they both play against each other tonight
