I get carsen Edwards vibes from cole.

Both small explosive guards. Do not think he's in the same tier as lamelo, wiseman and edwards.

Yep, completely different players stylistically. Not too surprised you like LaMelo and Wiseman given where you were on Cam last year. Can you explain why you like those guys so much? There is a big misconception about who / what Wiseman’s current skill level is and while LaMelo is an amazing passer, and finishing better than expected, his defense and shot selection have been atrocious so far.

Capn'O wrote:What I'm interested in with Cole is what happens when his point of attack is shut down. Does he go into distributor mode?

That was something I love about Ja, or really any PG that has those sorts of instincts.

He has to do a better job blending the passing + shooting. Right now, he’s either focused on one or the other. Although part is UNC’s offense, IMO.

Lamelo's size, skill and vision are unmatched. We haven't seen a pg prospect with all these tools since jkidd.

As for wiseman his size agility and strength is sooo unique at his age. Is he lacking in skill sure somewhat but he is no doubt the best Big man prospect since embid.

Skill in what sense? He’s not a good shooter, he’s a crap defender, and has questionable shot IQ at best. He’s an insane passer, yes, but how is that enough to warrant tier 1 with his warts? The Kidd comment is very bold.

As for Wiseman, he’s not agile. He’s fast in a straight line, but he’s not a quick riser and does not move his hips well in space at all. He’s also lacking quite a bit in skill, and has been going back to his AAU stuff - there’s a reason why his efficiency was bad relative to other top bigs. “Best big man prospect since Embiid“ is also very very bold...cmon. He might not even be the best one in his class, lol.

His unique floaters and his knack for always being a play ahead. The way he controls the pace of the game is unmatched. I get his shot needs work and his defense needs to improve but those are things he can/will improve on as he gets older.

The things he's exceptional at are things you cant teach. Only the all time greats have the vision and and feel for the game he possesses.

That is a no doubt tier 1 prospect if I've ever seen one.

There is serious doubt about if he can improve upon those things. His touch is great on floaters, yes, but his outside shot leaves a lot to be desired (including reworking his form). “Always being a play ahead” goes to his preternatural passing ability, yet it translates nowhere else.

I think you should keep watching and not make blanket bold statements this early. I think you’re missing plenty between Ball and Wiseman, and I know many agree.

Listen we all have our hits and misses,me with cam & bol (though its still early), you with josh jackson, it happens.

We'll just have to wait and see how it plays out, but i havent been this high on a pg prospect since cp3 coming out of wake Forrest.

Lamelo ball is that special despite his warts.

But again as i said earlier Only time will tell.

Yeah, ha ha, what a bust right?

Imagine being the guy that traded for him in BAF when he's making 33% of the salary cap, bet that guy would feel pretty dumb for doing that if that happened

At least I still have Goga.

Also, I feel like a lot of what people are saying about LaMelo is pretty much what they said about Lonzo, especially if we're comparing Melo to Kidd, which people did with Lonzo

So interpret that as you will
