Okay good, so it looks like most on here agree with me on Vernon. Ya they're saying he's pretty much PJ Washington with a couple more inches on him. I didn't know if it was just the Duke bias or if I was completely missing something with him haha.

PJ gonna get a few folks paid before decision makers catch on.

Thoughts on the Washington forwards so far? I haven’t seen them but they’re both in the lottery mocks...

Re: 2020 NBA Draft
PJ was insanely underrated, even here on this board which usually does a good job fleshing prospects out, he really was a prototype PF prospect, 6-8 but a 7-2 wingspan, can switch, can score on 3 levels, a good inside-out passer, can run the court, etc.
Carey is none of these things really...he's big and strong but is primarily a 1 level offensive player and has no semblance of playmaking at this point, he's also very meh defensively, gets by by just being a big body no nuance

I like Stewart but wouldn't draft him in the lottery I think. Not exactly sure what he can be at the next level, considering his profile I'd say he will be a valuable bench big rather than a (high-level) starter because he is probably best suited to play the 5.
McDaniels will probably go in the lottery on upside alone. But he could take a while to develop and he's certainly not a safe pick. He looks like a blend of Ingram and Isaac but hasn't shown the one area that could realistically be elite for his position (Isaac's defense, Ingram's creation). There is time, though.

Kentucky is playing Utah Valley right now on ESPN2 and they look horrible. I know UK teams always get better as the season progresses

McDaniels is kinda like MPJr, but worse
i think he's a lotto guy but a lot of risk there imo

UK is really missing that elite player. Duke would be in the same spot if Tre didn't return for them this year. There is no elite player or team in college ball this year.

UK didn't really have an elite college guy last year either but PJ/Herro were a lot better than people gave them credit for at the time
this year's team is just....so meh, i thought that guy for them would be Maxey but he's been bad so far.

I agree - although I haven't seen much college ball yet as I'm still in football mode.

Yup, elite recruiter but when it comes to actual coaching, he's a below average college coach. He's really screwed when the OAD ends in a few years.

I stand by what I said before the season started. I don't see him being a lotto guy. I'm just not impressed with him.

I was surprised he didn’t make the jump up the last two off seasons considering his fingerprints are all over the NBA. I’ve never turned down a lifetime contract before though...

Agreed 100% with your assessment of Jaden McDaniels.

I agree there aren't any clear cut favorites to win the title this year, and I think a big part of it is due to Hardaway and Wiseman. If Hardaway doesn't get Wiseman at Memphis, we would probably be looking at a Kentucky team with at least 1 or 2 more top-level recruits. Jeffries most likely doesn't decommit from Kentucky.

I think the Arizona Wildcats should be up there as a favourite for the title.
