I mean if the league cared they'd just test every player daily, honestly the cost is minimal and the effort to pee in a cup isn't a big deal either for the players. Reality is it's not in the league's interest to waste their time with it, players will beat the tests anyway.

In all likelihood it is just a coincidence. Players are drug tested all the time.

There might be something to it though, Alex Caruso got “randomly” drug tested after a photoshopped pic of him looking swoll went viral over the summer.

theres lots of jokes to be made about this, but does anyone else have a problem with how arbitrary it seems people are getting drug tested? there are a lot of players who have been smoking weed everyday and never getting tested due to their reputations( Amare Stoudamire admitted to smoking a bunch in his careeer for example) but guys like jr smith are tested constantly and getting suspended(although for obvious reasons) Is that fair to you? im not sure what i think about it.

He's on team LeBron, who are like 5-years ahead of current testing methodology. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if LeBron had an advanced PED/fountain of youth lab in China.

its not that, its a "hey lebron, we are coming over in about 45 minutes to test you." Theres ways to test clean if you have time to prepare.
