Adding Kane and subtracting Nehm from LOB has significantly increase my enjoyment of the pod.

I think my favorite basketball pod at the moment is No Dunks. Daily pod with some good analysis and humor. Crazy thinking I used to hate the starters when they first started on NBA TV.

I’ve actually gone the other way with LOB and I feel bad cause Frank is the GOAT, but when he’s not on I find it a really rough listen. I flipped off the latest “Locked on Australia” after like 15 minutes had passed without any Bucks talk. Australia is far away. Things are a little different down under. Got it, great.

As much as I like all those guys, I've hardly listened to any of their pods. They all seem to be struggling to stay on topic and relevant.

I gave Eric's a listen last week, and it is hard with his co-host, who really has no ties to the Bucks or Milwaukee whatsoever.

The fascinating development, is that with a contending team, the national podcasts usually now have Bucks talk (Simmons, Windhorst, Lowe, etc)

I was thinking something similar last night after catching up with some podcasts. Not a lot of good discussions about the team at all.

Kane landed a pretty good interview with Bogut on LOB. Worth a listen.

-Said Skiles made him into a defender. One the best X and O coaches he played for.

-After awhile franchise stuck in revolving door. Guys came to Milwaukee to get their numbers up, to go somewhere else.

-Couldn’t form any stability on the roster, so much roster turnover.

-Kane asked whether Skiles and Jennings had issues. Bogut said Skiles let Jennings play his game in year one, but didn’t see any issues.

-2010 offseason team tried to hit a home run, but let Kurt Thomas and Ridnour walk and chemistry and culture went out the window. Brandon clashes with the new guys. Then they brought in Stephen Jackson, on court good, off court wanted big contract extension and blew things up in the locker room.

-Said his 2010 injury hurt his shooting hand. He came back too soon. Bone chips still in his elbow.

-8th seed or bust mentality hurt us. MKE never a place where a FA would be happy to be there. Certain guys would show up on training camp and leave town quickly.

-Favorite teammate in MKE. Carlos Delfino. Desmond Mason. Ersan. Kurt Thomas.

-Ceiling for FTD team if Bogut not hurt? We’d have beat Atlanta, and had shot at Boston in round two.

Kane getting Bogut on. It's like he's trying to get Chuck to hit the subscribe button again.

I have enjoyed Kane so far. I respected Nehm's opinion/knowledge but I do find Kane a little less pretentious for lack of a better word. I have stuck with LOB for my Bucks pod, but I'm less religious listening since last year. There are so many pods that I'm almost burning out of sports talk a bit.

I started a Bucks centric podcast because I hated all the hosts of the current ones and they all felt bland and the same.

So espn milwaukee/madison (e.g. Homer, Wilde/Tausch, etc) went to pay for their podcasts? Damn. Don't think I'm gonna drop $50/year for it.

Ironic timing. Last night wanted to hear Homer’s take on the Bucks and Brewers and hit the paywall also. Got that nice screen letter from Craig at Karma about how worthy the $5.99 a month would be.

Heh. Hard pass

I enjoy Homer just because he seems to live and breath wisconsin sports and his neuroticism just bleeds through the speaker. The 12 year old sports fan in him has never left. But paying for it? Nah. Especially not the other guys. I straight up cant listen to Chmura. He sounds like a guy who goes to home depot four times a week and wont stop talking about zero turn mowers or flood lights. His words present themselves as flatulent to my ears. I can never listen for more than 30 seconds. He reminds me of Mark Schlereth. Both insufferable. Only outdone in that regard by that clown on the Milwaukee station who i havent listened to in so long that i forgot his name.. basically an old, fat white guy with colossally stupid takes.

Putting a pay wall in front of a podcast is not the way, especially for a smaller outfit like them.

Podcasts plural. Basically every show they have from Doug Russell onward are archived, but behind a paywall.

I know all those guys read this board. Kudos to WSSP/105.7 for keeping their full show pods up for free.
