The South Bay Lakers just played their first game of the season, which resulted in a loss.
It's the first time we got to see THT playing, since he missed Summer League and the Preseason while being injured.
He finished with 16/7/5 in 25 mins.
Norvell had a terrible game, while going 2-14 from the field.
Kostas had 21/10/2/2/2.

Re: G-league coverage
The difference in talent, speed and fundamentals is remarkable between the G League and the NBA. Most guys who don't get drafted who are any good go to Europe or Asia for $$.
THT looks a little like a 40 year old former College player playing down at the Y with that yoke-a-doke stuff..

2nd game of the season, Kostas still beastin' 23/7/1/1/1.
THT with 18/5/3/2 but still limited minutes wise, he plays around 24-25 a game right now.
Norvell still struggling, was benched in this one and shot 3-13 from the field.

Re: G-league coverage
His shooting is really surprising me since he struggled in his lone college season.
Still small sample size(3 games), but he's taking 6.7 3's a game in only 25 mpg and making 40% of them. Also he's hitting 83% of his FT's, over 20% better than in college.
I guess with the injury he had he really worked on his shot, since he couldn't really play.
If he keeps hitting 3's for a few more games there's no way you can justify not getting at least scrap NBA minutes. Even if he's not even 19 yet.
Give him Daniels' spot at the bare minimum.

Daniels is a 3pt specialist, who is shooting under 30% from 3. He is contributing pretty much nothing out there. If he can’t make his shots, he is totally worthless out there
USA Celtics in full effect. Amazing chemistry building experience right there for the main core of the team
Proceeds to finish 7th and shames the entire nation!

Re: G-league coverage
I appreciate the enthusiasm but watching those videos I see the level of competition being a little higher than a good Rec-League. The jump from that level to the NBA is massive.... probably more so than any other pro league. Let's see him develop with good minutes for a season before we throw him in a situation he will in all likelihood fail in.
That said, he's got good handles and some nice moves. His speed and overall athleticism is a little concerning in comparison to his position in the NBA at the moment. He needs to truly get in shape. Still looks a little "puffy".

Again know your history.
Troy Daniels shot his career October 3pt average, in October (28%)
His career November 3pt shooting is 38%.
December is 44%.
He starts slow and heats up. It’s a historical pattern like KCP shooting woes. People complain because they don’t follow the actual history of the player

Is Horton-Tucker any relation to PJ Tucker. They have the same body.
