Sucks about Bird. I was pretty hyped about him.

Also, should have just given that Ellsbury money to Gardner

Who's your first baseman going into next season?

I guess Voit or Andujar if he doesn't get traded.
If Didi is back then DJ again.

We need Florial.

Frazier and Andujar are redundant at this point

They signed Jasson Dominguez last year He's on the fast track. Should be ML ready in two or three years. Comparisons to Mike Trout.

Florial is expendable.

Dominguez could be compared to Babe Ruth, but that doesn't mean Florial is expendable. There's several leagues Dominguez needs to be tested at on the road to the MLB and he could stall at any of those leagues at such a young age.

Gone, but $26 million in dead money is enough of a reason for Hal not to open the checkbook this offseason. I mean, Ellsbury was essentially dead money, but still he's officially dead money now.

I still can't believe we signed that bum for 7 years. Worst contract for Yankees by FAR ...

lol at anyone thinking those offers are enough for Lindor or that we need Florial who spent 3 years in A ball.

Florial is a five tool centerfielder who had one terrible year. It downgrades him for sure but coming into this season he was the Yankees no. 1 prospect and ranked 47th in all of baseball. And we didnt have anyone else in the pipeline to replace Hicks.

Now we have Dominguez but **** happens.

I think Florial has good physics & tools to become a good CF.
I don't trust Hicks as full time CF. I think he is really good 4th OF.
And Dominguez is at least 3~4 years away.. I hope Florial steps up this season.
At least be a good asset again.

Yeah Dominguez is 16. He'll be in the minors for at least a few years. Hicks gets injured a lot. Gardner fills in but for how long. I'd like to see Florial ready as soon as possible.

His value has dipped dramatically. You can’t view him like
you did last year. His hit tool is suspect.

His concern is more staying healthy. Injuries last two seasons affected him. If he stays healthy this year and doesn't bounce back hitting then I'll worry about the hitting.

If you mean Chasen Shreve LHP...
I remember he sucked when he was with the Yankees.
He wasn't good enough to be even lefty specialist.

That's the guy. He's the Mets big free agent acquisition so far this offseason.

Nobody has signed yet...
Mets have good pieces. DeGrom, Noah, Alonso, Diaz if he get back to 2018 form.
Maybe Mets need to make moves like Yankees did.. DeGrom & Noah for boat load of prospects and then some.
Mets need to solidify middle of the field players like any good teams should.
Yankees also need to reassess.. Only Gleyber is keeper.
