McCollum for Kevin Love has been the obvious trade they should make for almost 2 years now. You don't just blow it up after you just locked up your franchise superstar. Maybe you strategically tank this year, get a high pick, then flip it in a package for another All-Star caliber player, but trading Lillard this year is the last thing they should do.

Brogdon still hasn’t even returned to practice.

The team has been very vague on his back injury in general. Very strange.

The word was last year that he had an agreement in place with ownership that they would trade him if he ever wanted out. It was denied at the time, but where there is smoke there’s flames.

It seems like that whole Blazers team has always had weird issues. They are a more talented late 2000’s Bucks. Just constantly swapping out recycled players and handing out bad contracts, never bottoming out for that other guy.

I dont know why anyone would have a problem with someone calling Luka a top 5 player. He is the best 20 year old I've ever seen and has been far better than LeBron, Embiid, et al this year. Waiting until he does it in the playoffs seems a bit over-patient to me. Dallas is a lock to be in the 4/5 series in the west. That's a massive improvement over expectations and Zinger has been a mess to this point. So his next best running mate... Delon Wright? He is 2nd in WS by a large margin.

They can give the western conference elite a big FU. Trade him to us for a brinks truck worth of picks and whatever else they want. Lillard and Giannis is exactly what we need. Its exactly what the league needs.
Lillard with Giannis is a dream scenario but Lillard doesnt seem like the type to force his way out (much like how we all hop Giannia will prove himself to be here) and is s pretty beloved figure for that franchise so I'm not sure if they want the pr hit.

Not sure what it would take either. I'd assume Wilson+DDV+ Indy pick+ whatever 1st rounders we can trade the next 4 years I'd guess. I'd do it but I'd also guess that a Bledsoe deal would also need to be set up, to bring in a 2 guard, unless we plan on him comming off the bench

Might just be Brogdons camp with these things. We didnt hear a peep for long periods of time when he missed time with the Bucks

Btw, yes - I think Melo hopes he gets traded to Milwaukee right before the trade deadline.

Know it was just a gripe of some salty GM that was relayed by Windhorst on a podcast, but the premise/headline “Two- way contracts have depleted G-league player pool” is so wrong and so dumb. The G-league has never been better.

I've always believed Portland should trade McCollum, but in this case, I think they could get Love without giving up McCollum if they wanted to and could then use McCollum to bring in a better piece.

Weren't there people who wouldn't have traded Midds for CJ? That's still shocking to me. Dude is such a smooth scorer. He's somebody who can get buckets on anyone at any time.

I was going to say I think McCollum for Middleton made more sense back then than McCollum for Love, but I don't think I would make that trade today anyways.

I'd prefer the 6'8" guy over the 6'3" guy.

When I think of players the Bucks need to trade Middleton for to take us to the next level, I think of the under-sized SG who gets you 22 points on 21 shots and provides literally nothing else.

When I see that the Hornets are targeting Drummond I think 'of course they are'.

I don't think we have a package that Portland would want for Lillard.

Midds for McCollum would be a pretty lateral move imo.
Love Dame but he’ll be making $50mill per year at age 34 (I would trade for him though).

I don't think Portland will trade him, but if they did look to, I agree.

But I think they likely plan to build around Lillard and Simons.

I think Midds is the better overall player than McCollum but McCollum's best games can carry a team which isn't really a thing Midds has really done. Basically - Midds the higher floor, McCollum the higher ceiling.

I think it's an upgrade offensively and a downgrade in every other way.

I wouldn't do Khris for CJ. Send Khris and Bledsoe to a 3rd team for Lillard and whatever makes the salaries work.
