This franchise is cursed. Let’s face it. Red might have made a deal with the Devil or something.

Re: Injuries: Kemba (Concussion-like Symptoms); Langford (R.Ankle)
Kemba hopefully misses a few games (hence there's no damage).. People saying this would be season ending come on - anything over 2 weeks would suggest structural damage-surely its either a few weeks or career ending. It looks like a few weeks.
We will be in full strength come January.

Re: Injuries: Kemba (Concussion-like Symptoms); Langford (R.Ankle)
If all it is is concussion like symptoms I think he (and we) can count himself extremely lucky. Not something you would normally say about a concussion but the initial impact looked ugly. Get better soon Kemba!
I guess with injury comes opportunity, and Brad Wanamaker's opportunity arrives. Let's see what he does with it.

This team is so unlucky that 2 of our 4 best players get injured, then the guy who could be benefited, the rookie with the highest potential, is injured too.

Re: Injuries: Kemba (Concussion-like Symptoms); Langford (R.Ankle)
For those wondering i believe that average time missed for a concussion is around 5-6 games. Thats assuming there's no other injury involved. If its particularly severe it could be a little longer than that. Jaylen Brown was back 17 days after his concussion. Justice Winslow suffered one on 11/5 and is still currently out.

Was put into concussion protocol. It's a "good news, but not a good news" type of situation. At least it wasn't a neck injury, it seems. Honestly, Kemba taking a whole month off would be good, depending on the result.

We are really snakebit with these max FA signings. In 2016, Horford got a concussion three games into his 1st season and missed the next 9 games. Following season, Hayward breaks his leg five minutes into the opener and missed the entire season. Now it's Kemba. Hopefully, his concussion is not as worse as Horford's. But take all the time he needs to fully recover. Head/neck injuries are scary af.

Re: Injuries: Kemba (Concussion-like Symptoms); Langford (R.Ankle)
It's great news really. Anyone who remember Travis Roy knows how bad this could have been. My first thought was concussion the way he went down but watching the replay he got his head snapped like a bobblehead doll. Being relaxed/unaware and not being able to brace for contact is the most dangerous part. However long he's out is fine, honestly these injuries suck but this is the time of year to get them. Fingers crossed for better health moving forward, gotta say i'm always waiting for the next one now and just hoping its not serious.

Even with injuries, you assume the absolute worst case scenario.
Mind boggling.
It will NOT be weeks plural.
It will be less than a week more than likely.

Really I thought two or three weeks was being positive. I mean didn't Horford Miss like two or three weeks when he had a concussion?

Would have to be the most profound of concussions.
His immediate discharge following neurologic exam & most likely a negative CT scan or MR scan, & fly home with team suggests to me a less severe event.
I would guess 1 week with outside chance/worst case of 2-3 weeks.

Assuming he has a somewhat similar timeframe to when JB got his concussion in Minnesota. He missed 2-3 weeks.

That was exactly my thinking and I was just going by what happened to Brown and what happened with Horford how many weeks they missed.

Concussions are highly variable, as is recovery from them. The protocol is the right way to do it and also entirely unpredictable.
All of that said yeah a couple of weeks is a mid-case scenario; could be two days or two months we’ll see.

Good thing Semi softened up his rock hard abs at that exact moment. Probably softened the blow. And I thought Semi played a bad game, but that was probably THE play of the game.
Awsome news that he was cleared to fly after the game.
