I mean, he's on pace to win 71 games with Danny Green as his third best player. I feel like you might be over-penalizing him for having AD. But as I said, this is silly so early anyway.

71 games?? too difficult .

That’s the pace they’re on not what he thinks they’ll get to.

The pace of an easy schedule, they maybe not win even 60.

An injuries happen to AD and last year Lebron too.

Lebron is done with mvps.

really?

Let it go, Giannis's Superman defense which helps his team to have one of the worst defense among the top teams makes him wayyyy better than Doncic...

Lol you really don't understand defensive rating and pace adjustment do you?

Bucks are currently a top 3 defense while having one of the toughest schedules.

Bucks 3rd and 0.5ppg behind first. Dallas 18th and 7ppg out.

Giannis

Harden/Doncic
Lebron

Giannis is leading this quite comfortably. The guy is actually doing more with less compared to last year and it looks like his level of performance is totally sustainable unlike Harden's 40 ppg 8 game streak.

I am sorry, if AD continues to have monster games left and right, there is just no strong reason for LeBron to go that high. Same as Curry/KD back in 2017.

People knew AD was on LeBron's team back in the summer but still mostly predicted the Lakers to be a pretender and nowhere close to the level of play they've shown thus far. Expectations matter a lot in MVP narratives and Lakers are massively outperforming expectations.

Some of those "pretender" predictions were always insane to me. AD is an automatic top 5 NBA player and now he has a chance to be healthier and he's motivated? There's a reason why some people didn't scoff when it was suggested that AD is the best teammate Lebron has ever played with(disclaimer- Lebron only got 1 year of prime Wade). Until Giannis gets another running mate like the other stars I could see him having a monopoly on the MVP award. Middleton just can't compare to some of those other 2nd options. Plus I think Giannis appeals to some of the older media members and older players with his attitude of not wanting to team up with anybody, staying with one team(in a small market, mind you) and not being overly antagonistic toward the media like some of the other stars.

Lebron's performance doesnt warranty any MVP mentions. He's been attrocious in the 4th, downright hideous consistently, and would have directly cost the Lakers' a good 6 more defeats (vs OKC twice, vs Suns, vs Memphis, vs Jazz, vs Spurs) if not for the rest of the team bailing him out again and again. He sure makes himself look good on paper though

1. Luka
2. Harden
3. Giannis
4. Lebron

But you could realistically give it to any of them.

Yup. Doncic is in the lead for MVP so far. He’s been very impressive.

Luka won't get the MVP, he won't win over enough of the people who vote (who won't want to give it to a player this young) unless he keeps up a PER of 33 and Mavs are top 3 in the West at years end.

I have an opinion, and quite an objective one for that matter, based on facts, you dont. You're a dedicated fan and I can see you feel hurt. Its ok.

He’s also averaging 30 PPG, 10.8 RPG, and 9.7 APG. Flirting with averaging a triple double for the season.
