on one hand. our best guy played like super saiyan god dog **** and we had a shot at winning this one.

but on the other hand.....we have said some version of "well this thing happened and we almost won sooooo..." waaaay too often.

there is always something stupid happening...and well thats the real issue. You can't have a championship contending team and have such a small margin of error every single time lol. This was a low key issue last year...the main difference was we had dudes to hax our way outta losses....don't have much this year. Brett has to find a way to get Joel easy looks or to do something else on offense beyond posting up and spotting up. Team right now needs counters..

good jab Elton

I'm not sure what's up with this team, Embiid or Simmons. A lot has to do with the odd pieces that have been jumbled together. Poor player development in Simmons (not having a jumper), Embiid not having a go-to move, working on turnovers, and conditioning. I think we messed up on the draft too. I don't have high expectations for this team. I wouldn't be surprised if we made the finals but it'll be inspite of ourselves. At this point, it's just not fun basketball to watch. Turn on the Mavs, that fun to watch. Turn on the raps, yup it's fun. Turn on the lakers, fun. Rockets, sorry, that's not fun, but you get the point. It's just meah at this point. I'm done getting so caught up in this team, until there are changes either from Ben, Jo, or Brett and his stubborness. But hey, C'est la vie

Embiid's scoring zero points the next time there after leaving that arena crying in the playoffs says an awful lot about his character. He's in deep trouble as a player who can lead a team to a championship. Just not going to happen, folks, in my opinion.

Which goes back to conversations we've had years ago about whether or not we were optimizing the development of either player by forcing them to play together. Team should have made a choice.

Slightly embarassing defeat and Embiid still hasnt found a way to attack Gasol. On the bright side the Raptors are not really a threat in the playoffs so it is what it is.

Guys. U cant win in the nba or college basketball if your best player is a big man

You have to have an elite wing or guard. Jrich may be our best player right now. Think bout that.

Brett brown is a horrific coach and ive been tired of simmons for a long ass time

He makes 1 three on 1 attempt and is back to Never shooting again

Honestly just trade his ass tired of it. Playoff bball is all half court, we will never win with a coach who hates PnR and a pg that cant do anything other than hand the ball off and run away

Idgaf about bens defense

i'm amazed how many people are just shrugging this game off. been watching basketball for a long time and this is one of the worst losses I've ever seen. so much of this fanbase has always had such a weird sense of entitlement and cockiness and I just dont get it.

this team is just not a real championship contender. they prove it night after night. choking late leads like dogs, unable to close out games, low basketball IQ.

our title hopes always came down to Embiid and Ben improving on their weaknesses and taking "the next step" this season and that has not happened. Not whatsoever.

Why are u here? Weve lost 14 in a row in toronto. Ur team is literal ****. Ur coach is running ur main guys into the grave in the first month of the season. Sixers suck, beating us aint ****. U guys are going no where fast, u aint gona do **** in the playoffs and u aint getting another 1 year kawhi rental anytime soon. Couldnt even keep a guy when u won a title with him cuz no one wants to play there. Ugly ass drake running around the court all game lmao

Correct. This team is everything that a championship iant, and nothing of what a championship team is

This team will not win a title with simmoms or brown on the team. Thats a fact

Ironically, people were ready to see the new and improved Simmons and Embiid. But it was the same nonsense. Simmons can't shoot a ball into the ocean, while Embiid's daddy Gasol spanks him. If Embiid actually scored a point Philly wins.

The fact that they went in there and laid an egg after experiencing what they did in game seven last year -- highlighted by Embiid's zero points -- ought to tell everyone what kind of character this team has and what its chances are for winning a championship.

If this team really had a shot at a championship, Embiid would've led the charge, scored 30+, and the team would've won by double digits. That's the statement a championship team makes against the team it lost a heartbreaker to in a game seven the preceding season.

What i meant is that the Raptors dont really have a chance to beat us in the playoffs.

About us, it is early to say and a lot will depend on the match ups. We have some issues but i think most teams have issues at the moment. In any case the time of reckoning is nearing, if we dont get to the finals major changes are gonna happen in the summer.

Just out of curiosity...

How is your takeaway from all of this that the Raptors are not a threat in the playoffs? You realize that the Raptors were missing two of their best players right?

All the Raptor fans in here begging for validation is making me feel better about not caring about this loss. Regular early-season schedule loss, whatever.
