I'm planning to duck out early this afternoon to get some errands done, but I think I'm one of basically 6 people in my office today - an office that usually has about 30 people in it. I've already watched a 90 minute Vice Doc on YouTube about the 2008 Financial Crisis.

What is everyone's plan for Thanksgiving? I'm headed to Milwaukee to spend time with the fam. We're going to have a Turkey and a Leg of Lamb, along with all of the classic sides and fixins.

My rank of classic Thanksgiving foods:

1. Mashed Sweet Potatoes with Brown Sugar and Pecans
2. Stuffing
3. Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
4. Turkey Skin
5. Turkey (Dark Meat)
6. Pecan Pie
7. Pumpkin Pie
8. Turkey (White Meat)
9. Having a heart attack
10. Cranberry Sauce

Currently at work with almost nobody here as well.

I'll be off to Monroe for the wife's family Thanksgiving lunch and then coming back to Madison for my family at dinner. Thank god our parents don't live far from each other. I have Friday off and I'll be getting another tattoo, then having a good old fashioned LAN party Saturday with the boys.

I love this time of year. Good food, good booze, basketball, football and family. Nothing better.

Thanksgiving is my favorite day of the year, easily. I go to my parents and we've always had a very straightforward meal, I think. Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing (both in the bird and out), a vegetable cheese medley that's kind of our family's green bean casserole, egg noodles with brown butter, homemade cranberry sauce, a fresh homemade loaf of bread. For the last three years I've made this Thanksgiving salad that's been a hit.

Side note: used my Instant Pot for the first time last night and I'm in love. Made a chicken & brown rice dish that was phenomenal and incredibly easy. Does anyone have any go-to favorite pressure cooker recipes?

Gotta show love for dinner rolls and corn. Simple items but necessary to complete the whole. Stuffing is one of the most overrated dishes out there.

I can see how if you've only had dry or bad stuffing you'd think it was trash. There's a thin line between incredible and inedible with the stuff.

Good food, 3 football games, 4 day weekend, love Thanksgiving.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

It amazes me that people don't like stuffing. I think it's as RS said. Maybe never had good stuffing. I could eat 3 pounds of my mom's stuffing.

Stuffing? No thanks. I've had all kinds, prepared in all ways. They all suck.

There will be a literal war for the stuffing from inside the bird. We've had years where we needed to make multiple turkeys just to accommodate the demand for the stuffing.

Going to the grocery store in a couple hours.

I'm spending Thanksgiving alone (intentionally) because I need a mental health day away from friends and family.

Going to spend the day cooking, doing meal prep, making chili, two kinds of soup as well as Sous Vide-ing a bacon wrapped pork tenderloin.

God I cannot wait.

My Dad, god rest his soul, used to make scratch bread that was crazy good. Since he is gone, my Mom uses a local place to get the good bread. Celery, onion, the bread, real chicken stock, pork sausage from a butcher, just a few good mushrooms..., don't stuff it in the turkey, but bake in a shallow pan. That is my Thanksgiving stuffing I grew up with and still have every year. Can be eaten as a meal by itself on Friday with a little gravy on top.

I bought an indoor turkey and I fried up a bird and after eating most of it myself, I now believe I'm not a big fan of turkey. Most thanksgiving food is simply a delivery for gravy.

Mad respect. People don't understand how necessary those days are. I had one on Christmas Day a few years back and it was honestly the best day I had in a long time. Enjoy the day and reset your mental health.

Mental health days are important. Also, if you're someone who doesn't have a great/existing relationship with your family, or is dealing with personal drama, these kinds of holidays can really suck.

I'm going to sit around my apartment getting high off some live resin while trying to avoid anything that reminds me I should be with family.

Might be time to start planning a move back to the midwest.

This. I wanted to like it just for how prevalent it is around this time, but I've tried enough variety from different people to know where I stand on it.

Adding to the turkey conversation..

On the “Something to Wrestle” podcast, Bruce Prichard (old school wwf writer and backstage executive) says that on multiple occasions, he saw (500 ilb +) Yokozuna eat 2-3 entire turkeys... which he would dip each piece in mayonnaise.

Much respect, Yoko...
