They bought low on him. I bet they could recoup what they paid and then some, especially since with Doncic panning out those '21 and '23 picks they gave up are very likely in the mid to late 20s.

I'm not sure about that. They may recoup some right now but if he continues to be this bad, by the time they'll be willing to part ways he might be seen as a negative contract. But yeah, those picks have marginal value and DSJ seems like a bust.

KP has had some good games of late. He's tracking great for a guy who missed that much time.

I went for the Philly tears, but came away in awe of the inferiority complex that Raptors fans have. Bunch of tiny dix in that fanbase.
I'd chime in by adding that generalizing from the low quality sample of baited (and widely denounced on the Raptors board) banter displayed in that thread, would lead to an inaccurate view.
High-five to "Sidney Lanier" if you're reading this. My favourite Bucks fan from Current Affairs board fame.

Yep. This is just going to take time. My only reservation is whether he can truly stay healthy. Seems like a guy who will always have issues.

KP also seems to have the same kind of mentality issues as Embiid does. It's the double-edged sword of the whole unicorn skill set. He tends to drift around the perimeter and absolutely loves those contested and fade-away jumpers. No excuse for a 7'1 freakish athlete to be shooting only 51% TS from the field.

You'll think even less of him when you find out he's 7'3".

Think his skill set has always been overhyped to be honest. He is fluid at his size and has a nice stroke...but that’s literally all he does besides contest the rim with his size. His footwork, post moves, playmaking, durability, mindset, and intangibles all leave a lot to be desired.
I admittedly said I wouldn’t even draft him before his draft because I thought he wouldn’t ever play enough to be a big contributor and I absolutely despise bigs who don’t love to do the little things.

Ironically, people were ready to see the new and improved Simmons and Embiid. But it was the same nonsense. Simmons can't shoot a ball into the ocean, while Embiid's daddy Gasol spanks him. If Embiid actually scored a point Philly wins.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I remember getting Mitotic and being ecstatic and like a day later they got Gasol and I could only shake my head.paulpressey25 wrote:soxperry wrote:Man, Gasol is a good defender.
Toronto won the title by virtue of that move at the trade deadline last year. Allowed them to get past us and Philly.
Our move for Mirotic and Philly’s move for Tobias didn’t do it. That Raptors move did.

I thought Gasol was washed up. I was wrong. He's still a defensive stud.

Zarba and his friends made an awful call in the Lakers/Pelicans game. Vogel challenged and it was obviously not a foul, never touched Ingram, but Zarba confirmed it a foul.
If the NBA doesn’t figure this out they will lose viewers.

The reffing at the end of that Lakers game was bad.

Watching Celtics vs Nets. Remember that terrible offensive foul called on Bledsoe during the Utah game? Kemba Walker stops at the rim and jumps backwards into the defender at least once a game but he always gets the foul call.
