Why isn't Mitchell Robinson starting?
Why aren't Trier and Knox getting time to develop?
Why do you own every power forward and will you sell one or 7 at the deadline?

Good questions that we’ll never have an adequate answer to.

But here’s a guess: they were desperate to be competitive this year instead of another year of playing the kids and living with the results. They believe playing the vets will make them more competitive and also vindicate their waste of cap space this summer. They still fail to realize that their kids progressing will help them reach the their goal of competitiveness.

TLDR: this FO is terrible and it’s finally being accepted by the majority of Knicks fans

David Fizdale talks ‘trust’ issues’ after Knicks’ ugly loss to Raptors
By Marc Berman November 27, 2019 | 10:08pm | Updated

TORONTO — Knicks coach David Fizdale staged his longest postgame, locker-room lecture of the season after a 126-98 Thanksgiving Eve blowout loss to Raptors.

Fizdale questioned whether this players trust each other enough on the court and if too much selfishness is taking place. The locker room was closed for more than 16 minutes after the final buzzer Wednesday night.

By coincidence, the Knicks were playing the most selfless team in the NBA. The Raptors overcame an 11-point second-quarter deficit to roast the Knicks at Scotiabank Arena and drop Fizdale’s band to 4-14.

“Message to the team is — trust,’’ Fizdale said. “Right now we’re still fighting that fight to trust each other defensively and offensively. First quarter, you saw the ball move without hesitation. We get to the second quarter, guys were holding the ball too long. They have to trust the easy play and the pass.”

Fizdale wasn’t done.

“Same thing defensively,’’ he added. “If you get beat, you have to trust a guy will be there to protect you and the next guy is going to protect the next guy. It’s something we haven’t done through a full game. We’re constantly fighting for that trust for 48 minutes.”

Really, I’m supposed to trust that guys like Randle and Portis have rotated over on defense when I get beat? I’m supposed to trust those guys to make a pass back out to the perimeter when they get surrounded? That’s an awfully big ask.

Maybe Dolan kept Mills around as fill in until he can bring Masai here I mean Knicks haven't destroyed there flexibility or future picks yet.

No matter how bad a team is all it takes is one player to change the fortunes of a franchise. Knicks need to find their steph curry.

Steph Curry alone didn't even change the warriors. It takes a supporting cast and continual good drafting. RJ might force his way out soon enough just like KP did once he sees this franchise is clueless

Honestly, I sense a serious Isiah Thomas Knicks vibe from this group. Just sign a bunch of guys worth a salt, regardless of fit and see if something sticks. This is going to create a toxic environment. If you think Fizdale is the real problem, and that you believe in the "Process" Mills and Perry are selling... you might as well get a raincheck on that. Mills has been in the FO for many years of suck, the front office needs be cleaned out first.

Yep. Mills wouldn’t ever work in a FO again based on the last two years alone. Forget the litany of trash decisions in his previous stint.

I still think the majority of this teams failures falls on the front office. I never knew we had offered Griffin the job but wouldn’t allow him full control and autonomy. I like loyalty in bosses and coworkers, but that was a huge mistake by Dolan.

I don’t think the answer is tanking though; I think we should be looking at the trade market for upgrades, but since I can’t think of any that make sense, the tank will roll on all on its own. No need to try.

Did you watch Philly during the process? Did you watch the 2016 team? Absolutely unwatchable.
