Yeah...I'm actually at my computer right now. Don't see too much of anything, tbh.
Caruso is fine. I don't think he's a great player, but he's improving and considering where he was a year ago, it's awesome. We really lack at the PG position, and he's helping much better than I expected.
I'm not gonna blow the guy. He took 1 shot, grabbed 1 board, and had 2 assists in 25 minutes. I'd like to see more. Somewhere between calling the player 'a beast' and "hating" there's this VVVVVAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSTTTTTTT range. Get out of the Caruso temple now and then. You'll see a whole bunch of guys who aren't enamored with him...but who root for him, and think he's a wonderful story.
So you want him to take more shots= taking shots away from the red hot shooting Kuzma in the 2nd half?
dominate the ball and hunt for assists thereby not letting Lebron probe the defense, set the offense and set up Kuzma, AD etc?
I understand the hatred towards some Caruso fanatics but some of them don't proclaim him to be a a great player but a player who understand his role. What he provides usually don't appear on the stat sheets like on ball defense, drawing charges, getting to spots where he doesnt crowd Lebron and AD and having the ability to rotate and switch to taller players unlike Rondo and Cook who are shorter. Yes, he has limitations, his mid game has been underwhelming imo.
Vogel will adjust and use certain players according to what is happening in the first half. Jrue was on fire but Pelicans don't play good defense, hence more Caruso and less Rondo.
Some nights, the other team jams the Lakers offense and tire out Lebron from setting the offense, so he uses Rondo more and facilitate....
