It was Dorell Wright up until then. Straight out of high school and outside the lottery, I'd still have to say Wright was the most overrated but Beasley has about seven years on him for most talked about.

Yikes Beasley was/is fine. He got suspended before his rookie year because a bag of weed in a picture. I promise you that Beas wasn’t the only NBA player to ever smoke. This pot head business is weird.

Continuing, his development as a rookie was really stunted. I’m not saying it’s not on him, but if you watched his rookie season he’d play until the 6 minute mark of the first every game and then UD would sub in. Even when the man was getting hot he’d be subbed out. It was very frustrating at the time.

He may have not planned out, but he never did the type of theatrics Dion is doing. He was a great teammate and seemed happy to just be on the team. If he wanted a spot on the bench and we had one I’d be happy to have him back.
