UCF wants the extra practices for sure. All the you g guys get a lot more practice time with coaches that would otherwise be prohibited.

This is for you and everybody, Get on twitter and tweet to (College Football playoff official twitter page) that we want to play FSU or Miami in our bowl game. I have begged them to please let us play Miami or FSU. Its up to them if they want to be an a-s or fulfill our wish of playing FSU or Miami.

That isn't how any of this works ...

Your only hope is the Military Bowl in Annapolis, Maryland which pairs ACC and AAC teams. Historically, you typically see the #2-3 best AAC team vs. one of the final qualifying ACC teams from the North East as geography is a factor in ticket sales.

Therefore, you are most likely to see Temple or Navy go up against Pitt, Wake or perhaps BC.

Damn, I was really hoping strong wouldn’t get fired today. Curious to see the next coach.

Maybe they can bring back Taggart.

Other than facilities, there's no excuse for South Florida to be significantly worse than UCF on a year-to-year basis.

They should routinely be one of the 5-10 best G5 programs with the ability to be the best in certain years.

I'm going to be really curious to see who they hire. I wouldn't go back to Willie if I were them. I'd be looking for the next up-and-coming coordinator like Tony Elliott.

Sorry to see Charlie go. Lol

He was predictably a terrible hire.

There are a lot of opinions from their fan base wanting them to return with a leavitt or taggert rehire, and return them to their “glory” days.

I didn’t know they actually had any “glory” days.

They did have that time where they were ranked for a bit and ended our series with them because they were going on to "Bigger and better things". :)

I'm not sure Taggart is actually good at all.

I don't love playing the "what if?" game, but Willie has been a head coach for 10 years and has only won over 8 games one time. That one time also just so happens to coincide with him having an experienced star college QB in Flowers.

You mean that time they were ranked #2 for a single week and then lost like 3-4 games and wound up the season unranked?

Seriously though, their "glory days" are just that, days.

Taggart was terrible, the only reason he was successful is the same reason Strong had a decent start at USF, they had a stud QB and a stud RB (Flowers & Mack I believe). It'd be a huge mistake IMO for them to bring back Taggart, and it seems Taggart may be game. And honestly as much as I like whooping on USF, I would like them to be competitive and be one of the top teams in the AAC with us year in and year out. Having the division on the line heading into Black Friday each season would do wonders for the rivalry, the conference, etc.

Had a feeling this was already decided when I saw him after the USF game outside the locker room. Looked like a guy who just played his last game. Going to be a great pro imo.

Darn. Had hoped we'd see him one more time in the bowl game. Best of luck to him, he's a beast. I can't wait to watch him play on Sundays.

edit: I guess he could still play in the bowl, but seems doubtful he'd risk injury.

He's 100% not playing in the bowl game based on what I've heard.

Best of luck to Gabe. One of the best to ever put on a UCF uniform at that position. I personally think he's a more skilled WR than Tre'Quan Smith or Breshad Perriman, but I wonder how well he's doing to test athletically.

A good combine/pro day could vault him into the bottom of the 1st round like it did for Perriman. More likely he's a mid-to-late 2nd rounder.

Not sure how playing could benefit him. By declaring for the draft isn’t he ineligible anyways?

Umm he's playing in the bowl game if we play Miami, FSU or Pitt. If its not any of those 3 opponents than he shouldn't play.

Mack has started following a few other coaches :( He's not in the portal yet but if that's any indication he's probably transferring as well. I don't blame him for not wanting to be the backup, but just really hurts our depth if KZ can't come back (which is still unlikely).

Hopefully if true we get a transfer in. Wouldn't be thrilled with DG being backed up by just true freshman.
