December watch..

Post#1 » by Beethoven » Sat Nov 30, 2019 11:23 pm

This is our toughest stretch of the season by far and it is relentless without any reprieve in schedule. Recall when LeBron usage was up going into Xmas last year and then he blew his groin. This is where the coaching staff got to show their pay.

Would love for us to just see the same thing and steamroll through this month but realistically what do you think our win stat would be after this month is over? This is the true litmus test of where we will be going into the playoffs i think. 8-)

A list of who we're playing would be good, rather then us having too look it up :)

Edit: we will lose our first game VS Mavericks, think they'll want revenge and they're a pretty good team

It will probably be 9-5 at best which will be very solid. I can't wish for anything better than 9-5.

Escaping December with a 26-7 record would be awesome.

Try to beat the mavs and nuggets, then rest bron and AD vs the Jazz. Rest of the games just play it out and hope for the best.

8-6, load management. We need to start sitting both AD/LBJ. Just pick two games you think you will probably lose, and let them rest.

We could go through that stretch at 10-4 with a little luck. Only Denver and the Bucks on the road and Clippers at home are guaranteed tough games. It will be a test of how we play to our advantages. Almost none of those team can match our size. If we’re chucking 3’s on the road with little rest then we will deserve to lose a few of these. If we pound the paint and put teams in foul trouble then we could do better than most here think. The defense will be a constant.... at least it has been so far.

Doesn't look like Vogel or LeBron are planning to do any kawhi style load management from what is implied from their interviews after the games. I do hope none of the premier games this month the other team comes in w any key injuries so there is no excuse for a win.

^yeah the more i look at the schedule it does seem more like the only real tough games are the @denver @milwaukee and Xmas clipper games. I'll be circling those three.

Ok let's shoot for 13-1. Just take it one game at a time. Just focus on tonite's game. Really laser zone in on the game and we can pull a win.

If we win tomorrow I think we can go unbeaten until we face Miami. Then that stretch until Christmas, excluding Atlanta, is all hard games.

If we win tonite , I say, we will sweep until @Milwaukee. Why would Miami be a problem?

9-5 would be solid. 8-6 is acceptable. Anything better than 9-5 though would be awesome, and anything lower than 8-6 would be disappointing for me personally. It's definitely a scary stretch

lol yeah this was what i was thinking at times ...they'll (haters) always find an excuse.

how about the chicago bulls in the 90s they had an easy stretch of 82-games schedules as well.

---

@portland are we going to succumb to the traditional loss at their home?

---

2-1 ,
11 more games to go.
dec19th-29th is going to be a HUGE stretch.

--
tonite, is carmelo going to go off on us to the point we will forever regret not signing him? will we trade him for kuzma?
just kidding
---

Ok i didn't think so Portland..now let's take care of Minnesota at home and then reset to figure out the upcoming east coast road trip.
Essentially the home stopover may count as part of the road trip in terms of travel wear

Will kat and Wiggins duo show us theyre the superior duo? Only time will tell.

Next set of games is this 5-game east coast swing..

Lakers at Orlando. Dec 11th Wed @4pm PT

Lakers at Miami. Dec 13th Fri @5pm PT

Lakers at Atlanta. Dec 15th Sun @3pm PT

Lakers at Indiana. Dec 17th Tue @4pm PT

Lakers at Milwaukee. Dec 19th Thur @5pm PT

I see this we come out of this w 4-1

Orlando we'll be well rested to beat them even though they have been playing good.
Miami is a good focus game I am sure they 'll be ready for that one.
Atlanta looks beatable of course.

But I see Indiana as a loss bc we will be looking at the bucks as the main focus of preparation . We can beat the Bucks (I hope) and overlook the Pacers in a trap game (they are a good team too anyways so not really a trap). Hopefully AD trying their best not to lose 2 in a row will get us a win in Milwaukee. I rather lose to Pacers and win in Milwaukee than the reverse.
