Personally, I’d rather see him get 30 minutes per game in the G-League than 5-10 minutes with the Pistons.

Until there’s an opportunity where he can play 15 minutes and have a consistent role, I’d rather see him develop with more playing time.

Hell even 5-10 mins would be nice at this point. If they are just gonna toss him out there in the last 2 mins of garbage time though then hes just gonna rush and force things to try impress to get into the rotation.

If he can hit an open 3 he should be able to take Snells spot.

I said before the season started we should just throw him in there at SF. He can't be much worse than Snell and Svi. If they plan on playing him at PF then he won't be seeing the floor with Griffin, Morris, and Wood ahead of him.

I agree about the garbage time minutes. I don’t believe it adds much if anything to the development of a young player.

It can definitely cause bad habits when your only minutes come during non competitive games.

Plus when it’s garbage time, the competition isn’t that different from G-Leaguers/ end of the bench guys.

I want him to learn the offense and defense against real starters in the league, I'd rather have him play 30+ minutes once the season is really lost.

But who knows if this FO will green light that. Having him and Luke develop chemistry would do wonders for development for the future. Lord knows we aren't even remotely inspiring right now.
