Re: NBA Trade Thread
What do you guys think about Kuzma, THT, future 2nd, Cash consideration, and Troy Daniels for Lauri.
Change of scenery for both young guys who seem to be struggling a little bit
Bulls get small compensation in terms of a 2nd round guy playing well in g league and a future 2nd. And some cash that they seem to love
Edited.

What is THT and what are the Bulls giving up?

My bad, Lauri. I described him a bit, but forgot to include his name.
Lakers rookie. Talen Horton Tucker.

No way I'd do that, nothing coming back is attractive, especially that thing on Kuzma's head. If Lauri turns it around then this looks like a terrible deal and you've just helped the Lakers, no thanks

Dunn and Felicio to the Kings for Dedmon
Would the Kings be doing that to get out of Dedmon's contract?
Why do the Bulls want him? Are you thinking that the Bulls need a back up C?
The Kings have Bagley, Holmes, Bjelica, and Giles at the 4/5 positions. I don't think it's out of the question that they'd want to get Dedmon's contract off their books.
Personally, I'd start Carter Jr and Dedmon while Markkanen will become the first big off the bench. Maybe the best thing for Lauri's development is to allow him to take a step back in terms of workload and expectations.

I would like to make a trade for Michael Porter Jr. I am not sure who I would trade for him but all he needs is some playing time and I think we could have our scorer and future star if we land him.

Re: NBA Trade Thread
I dont know if the rumors of San Antonio wanting to move off of Demar are true, but at this point Id trade Otto for him. I dont know what the FO's short and long term goals are, but it appears they want to at least appear competitive, and the Bulls need talented players who can actually stay on the court. Demar has played mostly the three the last two years, hes improved as a playmaker, and he'd take some pressure off of Zach. The coaching staff would have to move off the no mid-range shots position at least a little bit, but that is something that they should do anyway.

Im all for getting a player that allows the Bulls to bench Lauri (for now). But I bet the Kings say no. Bagley and Bjelica are PF's and Giles has disappointed this year so far.
I just don't think Dunn is enough for them to pull the trigger. Its a good idea though.

If the Spurs are looking to change things up what do you think of LaMarcus Aldridge?

Aldridge would off been good a few seasons ago. He's 34 right now and I could see him declining in the next few years.

He's already a big part of SAS' defensive decline, along with DeRozan.

He only has one more year on his contract. He'd be short term move.

Don't see a SAC trade, but I agree with trying starting Carter at PF & another center, probably Gafford.
Carter himself wants to be a 4, not a 5. at 6' 9" I don't blame him, he'd be defensively dominant at the 4 while he gives up a lot of length every night at the 5.
A handful of times last season, he stood out as undersized while true 7-foot centers overwhelmed him physically. The team considers him the starting center, but Carter claims to be a power forward.
“But I come here and I want to win,” he said. “You can list me as a center — you can list me at whatever y’all want to. I know my game, and I am going to come in and do what I have to do to help the team.”
Gafford would also soak up some of the unavoidable cheap fouls every center gets just being physical underneath.
The normal argument would be that we would lose floor spacing and 3s with someone like Carter at the 4, but let's face it with Lauri & Thad at the 4 nobody is bothering to guard them on the perimeter anyway and just clogging the paint for the rest of the Bulls.

I agree, it might be worth a shot seeing WCJ at the 4. Would force him to work on his spot-up shooting, but it’s not unreasonable to see where he goes with that.

I’m stuck on the bulls and pistons making a trade
bulls get -
- Blake Griffin
- Dereck Rose
-
Pistons get-
- Otto Porter
- Kris Dunn
- Denzel Valentine
- Christiano Felicio
- 2021 lottery protected 1st rd pick
Or ( Porter + Thad young plus 2021 lottery protected 1st)
This allows Markkanen to come off the bench as a scorer and bring D Rose to come back home !

The coaching staff and front office loves him and so does the fanbase. Statistically, he doesn't bring much to the table. The saying "his contributions don't show up in the box score" is an overused cliche but in this case, it actually holds some truth. I don't think they'd have interest in Daniels, so this would be completely dependent on how they view Horton Tucker as a prospect. I always saw him as a sleeper in the draft, so I'd be kind of intrigued, but I think the Bulls probably pass on this without much hesitation.

Fair enough
But I do see the value in him
He can be a backup pg. Hit the 3, play-make a little. And give good effort on D
He reminds me of Caruso a bit in terms of being underrated. Caruso is a better defensive guy and a better secondary ball-handler. While Ryan is better on offense overall: Better shooter and ballhandler.

Wouldn't like Griffin's contract, but I'd explore trading for Rose.
He's quietly having a good season.
Another scorer would be nice.
