Maybe Tatum if you really squint your eyes, but he's probably closer to a Paul George / Paul Pierce in his upside than a KG or Kawhi.
KG wasn’t top 10 or even top 20 in 2010 and yet the Celtics came very close. He was much closer to Al Horford than the Big Ticket that year.
Pierce was top 10 in 2008-9, if accolades are to be believed. Rondo got stray votes for MVP and hence was technically top-10 in MVP voting in 2011 and 2012. So it was a talented team.

Pierce and KG were great but not considered top 10 at that time. Ray Allen was beginning decline. Michael Finley and Rasheed Wallace were no longer elite. Rondo was an all star but at his peak couldn’t make Olympic team. Yet, that team was extremely talented and had Perk and Tony Allen on the bench. Rondo-Ray may have hated each other....but they were a perfect backcourt and their talents meshed so well that their individual deficiencies hardly mattered.
Our current team has great talent too but is short on veteran savvy and lacks a star front court player which I believe is more important than having top 10 guy. We could possibly beat LA Clippers in a finals with some luck but without a stud PF/C we probably can’t get there.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."
