Rockets are not a playoff team without James Harden. Don't be silly mate.

Ofc they are just like OKC was when russ was running the show. Not a powerhouse but PO team for sure.
Russ/Gordon/House/Tucker/Capela is a top8 team in the west(especially this version of the West).

There is really no argument that the MVP is Harden for the third year in a row.
Giannis is the anti-Harden candidate.
Luka has the 'rookie' narrative.
To be honest, Giannis will win MVP two years in a row only because the irrational Harden hate. It is a shame and disgrace and devalues the award.

...he's a much better player than Harden. He is top 3 in both offense and defense.
The only shame and disgrace comes from people who think that being elite on both sides of the court isn't essential.

You people spin up new narratives every year to negate Harden's historic achievements. The narrative changes literally every single year. Please spin one up for LeBron's case based on the poll.
Also your characterization of top 3 in O and D is laughably and demonstratively false.

Harden is horrible to watch and hated by most people AND Giannis is the much better MVP candidate
These 2 ideas aren't mutually exclusive

A: why everyone is acting like AI is the best thing ever happened and we should all abandon out jobs and work on AI? I think ...
B: why everyone is acting like the AI is going to replace everything and extinguish the mankind? Listen, y'all crazy. I think ...
Essentially A and B are pretty much those "everyone" who are locked into a debate battle by putting words into each other's mouth.
Sometimes Lebron is the AI, most of the time Harden is the AI. Now Luka is the new AI. Eventually Giannis will be the AI once or twice.

Giannis is the MVP at this point. Luka and LeBron are pretty interchangeable, but I got Luka in 2nd for now after he just out-dueled LeBron in the Mavs victory over the Lakers. And I have Harden 4th. 5-10 are honestly pretty irrelevant, none of them are even close to the top 4 and they have basically zero shot at winning, but I'd guess Jokic, Walker, Embiid, Siakam, Towns, and Davis would probably round out the list.

I leave aside the fact that he is actually a joy to watch and i just watch the mavs and imagine how they would look like without him.
Houston had CP and now they have westbrook. They would have been a PO team regardless. Mavs no way.
I can't imagine Luka in 6-7 years. Potential to become the GOAT. Harden was never close to that ceiling.
Zero chance the Rockets are a playoff team without Harden this year. Westbrook is garbage. The Rockets have been 7.2 points better per 48 with him on the bench. Harden, Capela, and Tucker are probably the only three players on the team that actually have a real positive impact. With Harden on the bench, the Rockets have been 20.1 points worse than they are with him on the floor for a NetRtg of -9.4. That’s worse than the Knicks.

final 2 mins of a tied playoff game, who do you trust more with the ball?

Being a better scorer doesn't automatically make you a better player.

Let's look at what Harden did when he was Giannis's age:
https://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/pbp/201405020POR.html#q4
Final 2 minutes of a tied game and Harden......Misses 2 jump shots in a loss to end the series.
Final 2 mins of a tied playoff game, who do you trust more on defense? Clearly Giannis
And as for offense, Giannis seems to have less 'bad' games than Harden in the playoffs. Look at 2018 where Harden had 7 of 17 where he shot 20% or below from high volume 3s. Or a couple 10+ turnovers. Or bad defense.
https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hardeja01/gamelog/2018/
At Giannis age last year, Harden was leading his team to a first round exit.

Yeah, it’s only because people hate Harden. Not because Giannis is putting up insane numbers and his team is sitting at the top of the league.

I've just realized that Luka is the youngest player on the Mavs. He's younger than the rookie they've drafted this summer.
