Evan is JJ Redick level player so you’re right, you’re not going to replace him with a $10 mil player but I think he’s about to become overpaid this summer. Vuc’s skill set is not easily matched but I would argue that his money could be better spent on a ball-dominant superstar if one became available in our fictional world.

As if Ball Dominant Superstars are ever available and if they become Free Agents, the chances of them considering the Magic are about zero.

Fultz is being eased into this season. And i am more than sure the goal with him is not that he will be a career 21% USG Rate type of player. If all goes well through all of the milestones... we might be seeing him hitting that 27-30% usage rate on 32ish min a game in the future (possibly not this season). The ball will be in his hands a lot and hopefully less in the hands of certain other players. The kid gets to his spot and his gravity will only continue to go. And if he gets a JUMPER... "Watch out now"!

He was traded for, not a Free Agent. Regardless, I personally don't think he will ever be a "superstar" level player. Still hoping Slim keeps developing into one tho.

Wasn't disputing how he was acquired.... just throwing out the possibility that we might already have one. Not sure about superstar level... buuuuuuut i definitely don't see why it won't be in the realm of possibility. And as a point guard that shoots nearly 50% from the field with a 22% 3 pnt percentages.... on 2/10 3PA... there is hope to do so as his game and confidence develops. As of not this 21 yo is showing his around the basket game is pretty close to elite at his position. Let's see what happens through the year as the restraints are removed.

I hope he becomes a better distributor as he learns the game and his teammates. That will offset any shooting difficulties as the dude can drive and create while driving.

I think Fultz driving and making a play is elite or close to elite already. When you factor our spacing, his age, his injury, and no 3 point shot its kind of amazing. He is one of the reasons i want Evan and Vucevic to stay. If he starts to make those 3 pointers we will have a real lead ballhandler. With two lower tier all star caliber players and improved bench we will make some noise. Its our best outcome by far. Better than tanking and getting number one pick this year.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Yeah. i think he will be fine. Him in pick and rolls will be deadly. yes... even without the jump shot... just because most of the times he doesn't need a screen to even get by his man.... but an established pick will require rotations from the help and his passing decision making will come along even more. If i remember correctly... he posted some ridiculous numbers on pick and roll in college. Other than that... kick outs to "shooters"... and cutters once he's in the heart of defense will get him all the assists he needs.

Dear AG.... no more catching the ball on the perimeter and passing up on the spot up jumper... instead choosing to channel your in AI and trying to get fancy with it. lol. I can see him unlocking higher percentages just by getting more open jumpers.

and for goodness sake.... CUT GUYS!
