in almost 60 playoff games, he is averaging 22ppg.

Middleton is 17.9. Middleton played more MPG too.

I'll take DeRozan's body of work all day over Middleton. Shoots better from the field, passes more... just better all around and is an expiring.

This is a flagrantly incorrect statement if we're still talking about the playoffs. Mids also averages slightly more assists.

His defence is Harden level bad so that’s not surprising. And he’s always been a ball stopper on offence who doesn’t score efficiently enough to justify his usage. He is what he is. There’s no way you’d want him on this Bucks team.

I hate when garbage like this derozan over Middleton junk happens. I’m critical of Khris and post about it a lot, but Derozan sucks and is a horrific fit. People suggesting trash trades like that is what polarizes the Khris discussion so much and makes it hard to have meaningful discourse without the biggest Khris fans generalizing that any anti-Middleton sentiment is from morons who want Derozan or something stupid.

There are lots of things that polarize the Khris debates. It's funny as long as you're not involved in it, and infuriating if you are. :banghead:

Fun stat. Demar Derozan hasn’t made a single three this year.

still shooting .535 though. I'll take that. TS% between the two is essentially equal.

then you consider the 150M you still owe Khris and....

Wanna let me know what Derozan's stunning playoff TS% is? Or do you only pull that statistic out when a 18 game sample works in your favor?

DeRozan would not be a good answer for a Middleton replacement or trade. It would really be equal at best or very possibly far worse. So can this stop already? There’s more hope that Khris somehow sees the light and starts playing defense again like he was his first few years with the Bucks or reverses aging somehow. Because he doesn’t need to save all his energy for the offensive end of the floor anymore like he did when was the #1 guy on the team. Or gets some quickness and twitch back in his game. But those become more unlikely with time too.

The mere suggestion of Derozan is ridiculously tone deaf. Like, do we not know it's 2019 and who Derozan is?

Can we stop talking about damn Derozan? We get one or two people who mention it and then everyone goes nuts and can’t drop it for pages. 99% of the board knows he sucks and doesn’t want him. It just buries the actually worthwhile Middleton discussion that has been posted and glossed over.

yes Derozan does not shoot 3s and would not suit our team, but he is a lot more accomplished than Middleton, 4 times all star, 2 all nba teams, has been the best player of a 60 win team. Why do we keep laughing about him?

....and dunked on Thon or whoever that was in the last minute while Khris shot an airball and threw a pass to an official. He also had to take it right at Giannis and our D for better and worse. I don't want DeMar anymore, but he's better than Khris.

You know how in all these semi-close games Giannis decides to see if he's hot from deep with about 5:00 left? Really that's all I've ever wanted from Khris. He should want to close the game. He should want the ball. He should defer when Giannis has it going, but he should consider himself to be The Closer.

Instead he hides. He's the 38% 3 point shooter. He's the money free throw shooter. He's the iso player. He should perform like the guy some of you pretend he is. If he was, then some of the other lazy stuff I could look past.

I do not know if anyone notice but in the last game the Jazz ran the same corner 3 play in which they used to beat us in the 1st game. Pat was there right away to contest the shot unlike Middleton who got lost on the game winner the last game. Its the little **** that Middleton does or does not do that drives me nuts.

That was unusually bad for Middleton though.

Middleton was reason #1 why we did not beat the Craptors last year. You cant have your 2nd option/"elite scorer" play like Tony Snell.
reason #2 was FVV (should have been MVP/not Kawhi).

Anyone who thinks Derozan is better than Middleton is simply nuts. Especailly for this team. Budenholzer would roster one less player before he took Derozan's midrange shooting ass. I can't even believe this is a discusstion.

That'd be like saying Middleton is better than James Harden. It's that **** stupid.

Middleton - Returns Wednesday

Post#453 » by StickeeFingaz » Wed Dec 4, 2019 6:15 pm

NBA Radio was doing a segment around the idea that Fred Van Vleet may get $30 mil/year in the offseason and comparing FVV to other players making $30+ million.

Both Wes Wilcox and Tim Legler said they would rather have FVV at $30 mil/year than Middleton.

Bucks are undefeated since Khris returned. Just sayin'.

Also....DeRozan.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

They are undefeated in games he didn't play in, and have 3 losses in games he did play in. Just sayin'.

No sane person really wants DeRozan.

I was looking at his stats and noticed Midds has a 19/3 assist to turnover ratio since getting back.

ORtg - 117
DRtg - 104

Both career bests. Hope it continues.

I guess we'll see against better competition, but if the Middleton of these last 5 games since the return from injury is any indication, it is the kind of play where I'm not likely to complain about his contract (and neither should others). He's playing with more energy, and as mentioned above, playing low mistake basketball. His overall offensive numbers he averages are more than acceptable, it's just that in the past they came with some questionable decision making and effort.
