And if all of that isn’t enough, they have one of the best individual talents in the league capable of dominant play on both ends of the floor.

They just don't feel like a championship team to me. But if they're going to win, now is the year to do it. I don't know if there's a single team in the league that I really feel like is a truly legit championship type of team. The numbers may paint teams like the Bucks or Lakers as those types of teams, but whatever. Maybe the Clippers, despite currently not looking as good as other teams. But that's only because of Kawhi's track record as a playoff winner.

Would have been nice for the 09 or 10 Magic to exist right now.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Give this same effort every night and just make a few more shots and things will be all right.

Yeah most definitely will see more wins if we can play at that level more consistently effort wise.

Nick still isn't a good commentator but he's getting better.

With LeBron and AD figuring it out, I don’t think anyone in the league can beat them. We’ve all seen what LeBron can do. He carried a terrible team to the finals a couple of years ago all by himself.

Aww shucks no upset. The score doesn’t look too bad at least. Evan and Ross looks like they carry the scoring again, it’s really nice to have two legit 2 guards. JI with 5 blocks. Fultz didn’t shoot well but had 9 assists and 2 TO.

Ross starting to look like 2018-2019 Ross gives me some hope. Other guys have to hit shots tho. Especially off the bench.

As someone who watched the bucks for years as they were coming up (huge Jabari fan) I completely disagree. And not to state the obvious, even if we are talking about three years ago, there is not one player on the magic who is on the same level as Giannis.

When JI matures he'll be able to put Kawhi-like defense on Giannis.

Just figured Magic players outside Ross and Evan combined for 2-17 for 3.

Glad it was a pretty close game. Who knows, maybe we win this one with Vuc. Or maybe we lose by more.

Ross and Fournier has pretty good games and kept us in this one. AG fell back to earth as usual, but the bucks are a great team. Hope it’s not serious with Bamba. Injuries have been bad so far this year.

JI has a chance to get to an elite level if he continues adding strength and a shooting touch. His first three years aren't THAT far off from Giannis' first three years. And JI has played less games. Staying healthy and working on his game, I feel like Isaac could make an even bigger leap into his 4th season, just like Giannis did.

Fingers, toes and testicles crossed!

JI's shooting is so weird. Some games he looks like a good shooter, other games he looks Andre Roberson bad. On top of that he's a good FT shooter. Weird.

JI is the DPoY. Just saying.

Anyway, these kind of efforts, with injuries mind you, are why I really believe this team can be special when fully healthy. As long as they play with effort like last night, we can beat anybody on any given night. We're not a contender just yet, but we not only have some special young talent on this roster already, but we have room to trade for someone who is a star in this league if we're opportunistic about it.

Great game, and great effort, keep it up, Magic!

He jumps forward for no reason. Guy is 6'11, can shoot most of jumpshots without jumping.

Oh, also, can we put to rest that Evan only scores against bad defense now? Another high scoring game for him on 17 attempts. That last attempt was just a 3pt heave in desperation at the very end of the game.

Finished watching the game now. Bucks are a tremendous team with a lot of weapons on both ends of the floor.
We did well, we competed and made them earn the win. Good game.

This game shows that great defense will get you close but no cigar against the really good teams. JI may have some offensive upside but it'll probably have to come at the expense of a drop in D production. Hard to be everywhere all the time. Gordon and he are just a bad fit together, no knock on either of them individually.

I think moral victories are a very real thing for players. Seeing you and your teammates get close to a champs level team is energising and motivating - no question. Teams can't admit it for fear of armchair general fans slamming them for accepting defeat, but these games count towards something positive in the team's development.
