I mean the MLB admitted that the drag of the ball is less. They did not admit to telling Rawlings to do this (even though they OWN THE **** COMPANY), but they told Rawlings to do this.

That is why Home Runs are up. It is not some random mass PED influx over the summer.

I think it's predominantly players just swinging for the fences more. I think it's been shown that plenty of players are capable of hitting more homeruns, but at a cost.

The seams on the balls are smaller diameter, which means they don't sit up as high relative to the cover, meaning less drag. So they fly a bit further.
