Didn't catch it, his name kinda just popped in my head, someone we can use as a 4 is mobile and can shoot and fits the Bam/Herro/WInslow/Nunn window age wise.

He's a center that can hit 3pt shots but not a good threat from 3. With him only making 18 mil a year for 4 years, he'd be a nice addition next to Bam and even better, you can have a rim protector on the court nearly all game long.

I like Turner. He's a better all-around version of Olynyk.

My gut feeling tells me we are getting close to trading for LaMarcus Aldridge. I just feel like Pat told LMA during that free agency courting dinner that he will finish his career here. It's going to probably cost us JJ and Winslow but i'm expecting San Antonio to give us back some draft pick compensation along with this considering they are getting the young player in this deal on a great deal. I'm sure the Heat want to save on the two million to have some flexibility against the hard cap. Aldridge seems like the most realistic option for us out of all the bunch considering what we have to offer.

The Heat have no pick to offer....we literally can not offer any future FRP....in terms of 2nd rounders, I'm pretty sure we have none of those until about 2030 lol

Aldridge has said he wants to finish his career in Portland. Although he'd be a great scoring option for Miami he's not a good 3pt shooter, the only times he's shooting and basically making a 3 is when his defender is 6+ feet away from him, I guess he'd be an acceptable starting center although he's only grabbing 7.7 rebounds per 36.

Add Cody Zeller to my list of guys that expire in 2021 that would be an upgrade at the 5 too.

He would be a massive upgrade over Meyers Leonard.

Pick? I don't think we have a pick to give until the next century. Most of our picks in the next few years are locked up because you can't trade first in back to back years. Most likely Winslow and DJJ are dangled with one of our bad negative assets like JJ and Dion in order to get this team another superstar even an aging one for a possible deep run into the playoffs. The long term eye is on 2021 to reload again.

I find this interest. How Pace effect Miami fastbreak points and Offensive Rating. Seems to make no real difference ImageImage

Do not see Memphis taking on Waiters

I don't see how that makes Miami better. If you need a defender Miami already have Winslow.
Experience makes a difference in the playoffs. Rather it be giving teammates advice and a player you can trust without having to give tons a minutes too and coach. One problem I notice with JJ and Waiters, they are not very comfortable playing irregular minutes. Iggy knows how to come in and play his role without a problem. Iggy is long enough to defend the Giannis of the world.

Expires 2021? Hmmm.

He brings the defense and rim protection, but lack of range a concern when Bam is a non shooter too.

I think I like the LMA fit better tbh.

Hard pass on the ghost of LMA. Dude is long on the tooth. Might as well sell Bosh on the idea of taking a min contract to only play limited minutes and only home games. At least we know Bosh can stroke it.

Duncan Robinson is in rare air with his 3 point shooting. After the 10 3pt game tonight he is shooting 44.9% from 3 on 3.1 threes a game in 26.7 mins. That is 4.2 3's per36.

The only guys to play significant mins and make more 3's per 36 min at a better % are 15-16 MVP Steph Curry (5.4 on 45.4%) and surprisingly enough, Bertans this year with 4.8 on 45.2%)

Great stat. Spobot this year entered in the cheat code with 3 point shooting. I don’t like what this league has become with this focus on a perimeter game, but you gotta adapt or you lose.

You know what we've become now? We're the Miami Spurs, and Spo is the new Pop. He's got a system that he's finally able to implement (no Big3 or Whiteside running interference), and we have depth where you don't know who's going to snipe you on a given night.

If it wasn't Timmy, Manu, or Tony going off, you'd have a Bellineli or Patty Bleeping Mills tearing you a new one. Great ball movement, and a rotation-wide commitment to the principles of the offensive and defensive schemes. We're not overwhelming teams with star power, we're beating them by helping players maximize their roles within a fairly fluid rotation.

Fans who don't follow the Heat probably go into the game expecting Jimmy Butler to beat them, or a traditional Miami defensive brawl in the mud. Then a Nunn, Herro, or DRob lights their asses up to fuel the win, and I bet they curse those names the same way I cursed Mills, Fatboy Diaw, and Belli. To quote Calipari, "...and every time they looked there were more tanks coming over the hill. It wasn’t substitutes, it was reinforcements. Here they come.”

I think if we get Giannis, the league is put on notice once again. It would be giving us cheat codes.

It’s odd that Jimmy Butler was the massive free agent addition in the summer, but Adebayo might be our most valuable player. The leap the guy has taken along with the many different aspects he covers both offensively and defensively, his impact is massive. I don’t know if the advanced metrics support me here, it’s just an eye-test conclusion.

Also, don’t throw Meyers Leonard under the Bus just yet. The guy’s impact is felt more than just through statistics, as stupid as that may sound.

Duncan Robinson is an incredible shooter, that needs to be said.

Overall though, teams seem to care even less about defending with high energy in the regular season, especially with almost every team capable of just shooting the lights out on every given night. Nobody really seems to care about winning games defensively too much. I get it, it’s to prevent injuries before the playoffs, but stat lines are incredibly inflated because of it.
