We got our guy but holy cow that's alot of money. I hope he can keep it up for at least 7 years of that contract.

We need at least one more starter IMO.

Exactly, this roster is win now and Cole helps us the most out of anyone out there. A few years from now this contract might not seem as big as it does now with how big contracts are trending in baseball.

Big time move by Yankees.
1 or 2 years too long but who cares.. classic Steinbrenner signing.
Strasburg is 31 and got 7 years so they will be 38 at end of each contract.
Verlander just won CY award at age 36 so, lets just hope Cole ages like Verlander.

NOT signing Machado or Harper last year was obviously very smart. Many didn't like it at all but I think Cashman was playing the long game. Great signing!

Hopefully we can trade Happ if not we can live with him as our 5th starter, gotta be smart in managing innings from our starters, wanna be at a point where they can throw 100 plus pitches for 6-7 innings every start even just 6 innings makes a huge difference for the pen. You got Clark Schmidt and Deivi Garcia in AAA too.
