Not against a trade, but not really looking hard for one at the moment.

Would be shocked if they traded for Love at this point.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Big N-O on Kevin Love. That is a Pistons type of move. I'm all for selling high on Rozier for draft assets at the deadline and promoting Monk to starting shooting guard. That would give us a legit shot at the top 5. Subtracting Rozier would really torpedo this squad. But we'd be adding a pick(s) plus increasing the value of our own pick.

Maybe we end up with Anthony Edwards at SG (in place of Rozier), pushing Monk to 6th man again. Plus we get a first for Rozier.

Then sign Drummond.

That being said, the value of the Cavs pick we own just went up.

Any interest in a Kuzma for Graham trade?

If only you had clung to Ingram instead of Kuzma.

No way I'd trade Devonte for Kuzma. With Devonte, we at least have a solid chance of him resigning here and he's playing much better compared to Kuzma this year.

Hornets
Skal Labissiere
Kent Bazemore (expiring)

Blazers
Marvin Williams (expiring)
Willy Hernangomez
Dwayne Bacon

Blazers are in the PF market, thought to pursue Gallinari. OKC likely wants a first round pick. This deal protects their pick and gives them a deep threat on an expiring.

The Hornets get a 23 year old big who can develop with a young team. He has great length, rebounding and stretch 4 potential. If Marvin won't command a first, this is the next best thing. Second rounders will likely not be on the same level as the rest of the core. Even with good picks it can take 1-2 years before they contribute. Skal is ready to contribute now.

Blazers also take a flyer on Hernangomez. They have Whiteside leaving and Nurkic coming back from injury.

OKC could counter by offering Noel on top of Gallinari. But still, I wouldn't want to forfeit a first rounder if I'm the Blazers.

Buy low on Lonzo, that Pelicans situation is a mess

Lonzo would work well with Monk on second unit

He could be, but he's damaged goods. Those injuries of his.... there's likely much more to it. Defensively, he'd help a bit. But our biggest defense holes are size related. Lonzo's not helping that much there and from the backup PG position I'd like to see someone far more consistent on the offensive end.

I want to add Jordan Clarkson. The team has no firepower when Devonte goes out of the game. Clarkson is a natural shooter that can get his shot. He's an expiring contract so maybe we could sign him to a longer contract after the season. Not sure what it'd take for Cleveland to give him up. If we could do MKG with a couple 2nd round picks, I might bite.

We don't need another Flip Murray, we need an actual stabilizing point guard. Devonte's minutes are catching up to him and Terry has no interest in it.

Also, literally any big in the league would do wonders.

But we are tanking so like... best way to do so is to fundamentally break your team so you're legit incapable of winning (like being unable to rebound or initiate offense from the wing position lololol). I'd still happily see us pick up some projects at 5 or some corpse of a point guard good for 10 minutes a night.

He was literally just traded for 2nd round picks.

Stealth pickup by the Jazz.

They unloaded Exum in the deal.

How about MKG expiring + Celts 2nd + Nets 2nd for Portis (team option)? He's a young big who shoots and rebounds.

Next year's expirings are worth more than this year's expirings. The Cavs will get something for Exum next year.

This was a win-now move for the Jazz given their Conley situation.
