Heat have an amazing organization top to bottom. Really enjoying watching them this year. Jimmy Butler is forever a guy I wish played for my favorite team.

I love Jimmy Butler except for the "closer" part, when I hear the word "closer" I know I'm in for some terrible basketball last 5 minutes
- Dribble dribble *clung* dribble dribble *clung* *clung* *clung* *swish!*
- Wow what a closer

I think Miami is going to continue at a good pace. I'm nowhere near as confident in Toronto.

I expect him to slow down or be hobbled by injury, but there has been no sign of that so far.

Silver's most egregious failure is letting road teams wear white and home teams wear color.

A commissioners job is to build and protect the brand of the league they're running. That's their job.

The debate with Silver and whether hes a bad commissioner can begin on whether hes accomplishing those things and whether theres a better way of doing it but his job description is NOT to be "acting as the steward of a important cultural institution". Its to make the owners money and put the league in position to make even more money in the future

I'm not even saying hes great. But let's not romanticize what a Commisioners #1 goal is

Of course Silver answers to the owners and it's all about the money. But if the product falters (which it has in many ways as others have outlined) it's up to the commish to be a leader and right the ship. I've seen nothing from Silver that he's capable of doing that. At the end of the day it's the game on the court that drives all revenue.

Well ya. We can talk about whether hes succeeding in that goal. I'm inclined to agree he could be doing a better job

But I was mainly responding to the complaint that "Silver views the league as a product to be consumed instead of acting as the steward of a cultural institution" and that he cares mostly about the league making money

That's not a valid complaint about whether hes a bad commissioner or not imo as those are probably the most important traits to getting hired for the job in the 1st place

The Kawhi intro package was great, esp retracing his steps on the G7 game-winner.

Watching the Raptors/Clippers Kawhi welcome back moment and all i can think of is: This is it for that franchise. This is the last moment in what was a magical magical run, but now it's over. The final splash of their high water mark.

The Magic scored 9 points in the first quarter against the Lakers. Nice going Hammond.

I can't see an argument against bringing in this year's Wiggins. He's an easy All-Star in the East.

Will acquiring Wiggins get in the way of the "Giannis 2021" campaign?

If Giannis wants to come here but doesn't want to leave Milwaukee high and dry, we could send Wiggins that way and he'll have even more value as his contract length will be less of a load. Its obvioulsy not an even trade but its better than nothing for Milwaukee.

Another Raptors loss tonight would make them 3-8 against .500 or better teams.

That's cute. You can chew on the desperation that hangs in the air around that board. It tastes disgusting, but i love it.

Siakam is getting clamped badly against us or Philly in the playoffs.
