That's cute. You can chew on the desperation that hangs in the air around that board. It tastes disgusting, but i love it.

Desperation is winning 16 straight but still having the taste of that backdoor sweep in your mouth.

Do not quote me on this board again and enjoy what you have while you still have it.

Is that last sentence sage advice after Kawhi left? Your concern is touching.

Don't forget John Salmons. That one had to sting.

Memphis is such a fun team. Clarke and Morant are incredible.

Once again, I still can’t believe all those teams passed on Clarke.

What the **** is a "back door sweep"? Did Raptors fans literally invent some lame phrase to make them feel like they dominated a series that was decided by a 1-point differential?

Whenever they tell you they dominated that series tell them you agree and now you are going to add another asterisk to their championship**

Our actual management posted a lineup with the starting 2 guard being Tony Snell.

And don't forget JJJ. That trio is 19/20/23 years old. I don't think Dillon Brooks is as exciting, but it looks like he'll be a good role player, and he's 23 also.

That team is set for the future, and they'll still be bad enough this year to get another good pick. Memphis has a very bright future; great, quick rebuild for them.

I mean did you really think no one was going to quote you?

I was referring to him specifically because he's always lurking in the Raptors board looking for some trouble.

I personally don't want Giannis. He's not someone you can depend on deep in the playoffs like a Kawhi for example.

I also have no issues with people posting on other boards for real discussion. But this might be a top 5 worst post in the history of RGM if serious. And if not serious, then it's trolling and not needed.

ETA: I don't know how this first started. If someone here went to their board and got it, etc. I don't know.

I also don't want you to have Giannis. Looks like we can put bygones aside and find common ground after all. :D
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

It's funny to read other fan bases' ridiculous posts, but I do think it's in bad taste to take what they say somewhere else while directly notifying them you're doing so by quoting them to laugh about it. Read the Raptors fans' spicy takes, giggle at delusion, and move on to posting about 120-104 wins and whether Khris Middleton lives up to his contract.

Is this applicable to Masai too?

No one is going to leave a good situation to fix the Knicks. So no.

I wouldn't describe losing 4 straight in the playoffs as a "1-point differential" but whatever makes you sleep at night.

You wouldn't call a series exactly what it was?

That's exactly how it happened. Why would I be lurking in here anyways? only good time to come here is when you lot are in a losing streak or getting backdoor swept in the playoffs

We can call it like it is; the road team won the series in 6 games. That stings even more tbh.

I would think that fans of a team that's used to getting swept out of the postseason regularly would know what an actual sweep is.

I've heard the "gentleman's sweep" term for years in regards to getting up 3-0, letting the team get one at home so they don't have to lose on their homecourt, then winning in 5. Never heard backdoor sweep before Raps fans. I guess it's just too difficult to say won 4 straight, we need a pithy term for everything these days, haha

Really, I'd think the term 'backdoor sweep' would be more appropriate for what we did to Boston. Lose game 1, then win 4. Just seems a stretch trying to use the term sweep for a 6 game series.

I can't imagine being so irritable immediately after winning a championship. Then again, this is the fanbase that gave a rousing ovation as soon as they saw a player go down with an injury, so I guess it's just hard for me to get in whatever mindset that is.

So did the Bucks half-sweep the Raps in the ECF? Kinda mitigates the sting when you can say you half-swept the eventual champs. We're close to the promised land boys.

I've actually had a Raptor fan tell me that if the Bucks had lost game one but won game 3 instead that it would would have meant the Bucks had a better series but since they got beat 4 times in a row it meant they got dominated and that it would mean the same if every game was decided by a single point at the buzzer

A sweep in general means a 4-0 series. A main attribute of that statement is a team winning 4 straight.

Gentlemen sweep - Raptors 1st round series vs Magic: they won the first game and we won the next 4.
Backdoor sweep: Having a 2-0 lead and getting spanked 4 straight times by the same team.

I'm not even bragging when I say the Sixers series was really the ECF last year. Philly not only let Butler go but made another contender in the East with Miami. You should thank the Sixers management for screwing up royally. They could have had the East for the next 5 years.
