Not sure how the Celtics can play a guy this small at center. Sabonis is a smaller guy and he gets to his spot and basically goes through him. In the playoffs teams are gonna game plan this.

Grant Williams isn't an NBA player. He won't be playing in the playoffs. The Celtics are just trying to justify their picks in the early part of the season. If Grant Williams sticks, it'll be a TJ McConnell situation, where he plays so hard the coach falls in love with an overmatched player.

If he starts making shots I could see him as a 4, a 5 is ridiculous.

TJs playing a pretty big role on a definite playoff team.

The Celtics lose a close one. Big minutes for Tatum, Walker and Brown. Second game of back to back vs Sixers tomorrow.

Any chance Minny keeps losing and Teague gets bought out? He probably makes too much money for someone to trade for him. Played with Horford (and Brand!) on the Hawks.

He's not what he used to be but he'd fit our needs pretty perfectly.

Either way could see him as a target with the taxpayer midlevel this summer.

He'd be an instant upgrade over Burke and Neto, but Teague doesn't shoot threes or space the floor. I think to qualify as a perfect or even ideal target, those are requirements.

He's around average. Talking in the context of being a buyout guy, last year the best at that position was probably Jeremy Lin unless I'm forgetting someone. Would prefer Steph Curry if he becomes available.

I don't know if Brett can take us sandbagging him with another point guard that won't shoot threes. He might quit.

If he gets bought out sixers have to jump on board . He would be a instant 6th man for sixers. Neto and Burke are just not good enough.

I get defending the point of attack is important, but how the hell does a guy like Shumpert last in the league for as long as he did?

Career 7.2 ppg player (10.4 ppg per 36) on a putrid 49.6% true shooting.

This guy must have had Mike Scott levels of lockeroom likeability.

Brett sure has coached a lot of these guys, but I think it was more Sam Hinkie that loved them.

I was moreso focused on the "low efficiency offensive zeroes that happened to be good athletes/defenders" aspect of Shumpert. Yeah, he's probably too experienced for Hinkie. Sam would dig Josh Jackson out of the G-league instead.
